It seems every time he sings a rock song the audience would give him a bad score.. -_- I think it's three time already he sang a rock song and it always put him in 6th or was it 7th place.. i don't understand the voters.. why can't you hear his awesome voice rocking your soul! >.
PlayLife What a great performance! He never came in 7th, but the lowest was 6th, once I think. With "Please", which is a rock song, he came in first place. That was a nice surprise. HDK's latest album [Word] is mostly rock. If you listen to his 2012 album [Mark], you can tell that he was transitioning out of his R&B ballad roots.
yea.. the worst he got was 6th.. But even though Please is originally a rock song but he kinda sings it slow.. almost like a ballad.. Honestly I like his voice in ANYTHING.. but the audience seems to vote him down the moment they see him jumping up and down the stage XD my favorite is when he sang the girl at the cigarette store.. ^_^ it was a shame he got 1st turn during that episode :( I seriously thought he would've won that one. With that ratatata ratatata.. part XD it was awesome..:D
PlayLife Yes, that was the pattern I saw too. That's why I mentioned it was a nice surprise when he got first place for "Please", still it was basically a rock song. If I'm not mistaken, his personal lowest score was for "Come Together". I was a little shocked and disappointed because it was such an outstanding performance. He stated in one of his interviews that he wants to make the kind of music that he wants, even though it maybe selfish, and not too popular in mainstream Korean music.
ah so true.. T.T i just couldn't get why they vote him down on that one.. was it cause it was an English song..? maybe the audience just couldn't connect with the song properly..
PlayLife I guess so...it couldn't be any better. Btw, the guitarist was awesome! Maybe this particular performance says more about the band than his vocal skills.
It's a great performance though..
Wish I was part of the audience. 😍
