Great video! I don't know if its mentioned anywhere but before you lose your mind putting the panel back on, there's something everyone needs to know. Obviously all the latches need to line up. Insert the three (I think there's 3) on the bottom first then everything will slide into place. Don't try muscling it, you might break something. Don't try talking dirty to it, you'll look like a fool. Just do what said.....easy peezy!!!

Very helpful! I found that I didn't need to remove the door opener cable, I just propped the door panel on a plastic garbage can after unplugging everything else and had plenty of room to swap out the speakers. Piece of cake.

Great procedure. Used it yesterday to install new tow mirrors. Several other videos were not correct for my 2013. Thanks for your help and to the Ford engineers for designing one of the easiest door panels that I have ever removed. I didn't even have to remove any of the window controller connector to replace the mirrors.

Fantastic video, you saved me over $100 for installation on
4 speakers in 45 minutes. I replaced my four speakers with Kicker KSC68 and purchased the
adapter connectors to fit the original F150 connectors. The sound is incredible
and I had the same issue with the blown speaker.
My only add would be to make sure you fit the lock pole. Not
sure what you would call that, but I had to take the door panel off again to
    make that part fit again.
Oh and I did not have that nice hook tool, so I used a hook
from my tool cabinet with a needle nose plyers and pulled that plastic piece
off at the door latch arm.
Did not have the 5.5 mm socket, but managed to angle the socket
    to work.
I am so happy I did this myself.

Had to come back and give a thumbs up. My 2012 change went exactly like this. I used a large fish hook from my tackle-box to pop the one out from behind the handle. I put Kenwood 6x8 ones in there and they fit perfectly. Don't forget a wiring harness to keep things clean.

Hi, Thanks for sharing this tutorial. It has helped me a lot! I don't know if this has been mentioned but I didn't have a great trim tool to get that plate off where the door handle is. I found a paint can opener did the trick. I had to work it some but the plate eventually popped off without any scratches or damage.

Thanks for a quick and accurate tutorial! I could wiggle the wiring harness in the door jam and hear my left, front speaker go on and off. Pulled the door panel and found that I have aftermarket speakers already, but one of the silly crimp-terminals was barely hanging on. A quick 30 second snip, strip and solder job and I'm back to sounding great. Thanks again.

Great video. Easy fix with simple tools. I found that my driver side front Ford/Sony speaker failed simply because the wire connector was mounted to the speaker body with flimsy plastic that broke away. Replaced with much better Rockford Fosgate speakers. Much better sound.

Nice video, it was very helpful. A couple comments as I went thru the process. In the 2nd step to remove the 2nd 8mm bolt, I found a long skinny screwdriver inserted into the plastic cover starting from the lower left hand corner popped out the cover. The best news is that when I pulled the speaker out I did not see any tears in the cone. While playing music I could stop the buzzing by placing my fingers on the cone at the 2 long ends. Then I stuffed cone with paper towels in the back and installed the speaker back again. The buzz is gone for now, a temporary fix (maybe longer) till I find a new speaker.

Thanks for this video! It will be very helpful for me. Sorry this is a bit off topic, but are there any common things you know to look for on the passenger front door of a SuperCrew (2013 FX4 if that matters) for a rattle? It sounds like it is higher up in the door panel toward the front of the vehicle. Happens over even the tiniest bumps. It's been to the dealership three times so far without any progress. The most recent attempt was installing a big foam piece in the door.
Thanks again for this video, and honestly, all the others you do. Super helpful!

Great video and thanks for the upload. My 2014 F-150 SuperCrew has blown both front speakers in only a few months and was looking to get replaced. Did you use new FORD speakers to replace the old ones, or did you use something alittle more in the quality department? Curious because of the wiring that you disconnected right from the side of the speaker, itself, and whether or not I can expect to see that on Factory parts or aftermarket.

Great job I think I am going to replace my speakers this weekend. Have you by chance replaced or fixed the visor with the electrical for the garage door opener. The sliding action of the visor breaks these wires in a year or two and a replacement has done the same. I want to repair the wires with braided stranded copper or something that can withstand the sliding. It appears the OEM visor design is poor and they are using the wrong type of wiring.

The wiring harness in question is the one between the cab and door? Is it possible to repair the original harness? Thank you, Tony

Since I purchased my 2010 F150, new, the drivers side door speaker has been off more than on. I advised the dealer, they said they thought it was ok. Now that it is way out of warrantee they tell me there is a service bulletin on the issue. Do I really need a new harness, or is the issue (as some claim) just to replace the speaker with a new plug?

Will 6x9 speakers fit in the door instead of 6x8. Want to get 6x9's instead but not sure if they would fit. Great vid.

Great video. I'm aware this is busch league, but I'm interested in splicing off the speaker wire/wire harness to feed the input on a powered sub. Anyone have any insight on that, having done it before?

My 2011 F150 passenger front speaker started to sound blown, but was inconsistent going off and on. Then the whole speaker itself stopped working. is it a speaker problem or a wiring problem? Just want to know before i buy speakers and replace them
