Bo'ness winter diesel gala 2023

A day out at the Bo'ness winter diesel gala.
Our day begins at Linlithgow, where we catch the free shuttle bus to Bo'ness.
From Bo'ness 27001 topped and tailed with 37403 take the delayed 1030 train to Manuel where 70813 and 70807 couple on. Due to compatibility issues between the Class 70s and the heritage stock there was a delay during coupling, which meant the train was running over half an hour late by the time it returned to Bo'ness. Timetables stops at Birkhill were skipped in an attempt to regain lost time. The train did another round trip with the Class 70s providing power (not filmed), then they were taken off the train at Bo'ness and the home locos did another round trip while I had a wander round the yard (where I filmed 37025 shunting some coaches). For the (delayed) 1335 departure the locos swapped ends, giving 37403 a chance to haul the train up the hill and provide EE enthusiasts with some impressive thrash. After this, I got the bus back to Linlithgow for my train home.
