Mine goes into a loop on the first install. It doesn't return to IOS. I have to force reboot. I don't get the Palera1n icon when I continue.

my iphone x is getting stuck on boot screen with apple logo and that chess logo.. the first part works the second one when the phone turns on and i write palera1n -f and put the phone in dfu it loads and runs the commands and gets stuck 16.4.1

Mac palera1n stuck in recovery mode. Unable dfu mode. Ipad pro 7.9 on ios 16.7.5
Timed out. But pluggin out and back in again doesn't work. It still sits in "Timed out waiting for download mode" no matter how many times I unplug /replug the device.
EDIT: Apple has fixed this since a few months ago. No longer works with the latest security updates.

it shouldn't, however if you have an A11 device you should disable passcode and if the A11 device is on ios 16 and set a passcode before, you need to reset your phone

I have, it works perfectly. However if you're on iOS 16 on an iPhone X or 8 and you have set a passcode before, you must reset your device before using palera1n.

dummy. he just needs to ctrl + c and then type palera1n -f again, but remember that rootful palera1n is no longer updated and is not recommended by the community.@@Nansess
