The music of Lizz Wright offers a youthful yet seasoned mixture of jazz, folk, gospel, and R&B. The Georgia-based 28-year-old singer-songwriter is already a celebrated contributor to the jazz world, having recorded three albums.
I absolutely love her music! The industry seems to have lost interests in those who are blessed with the gift of song......my hope is that we continue to support real artist like Lizz Wright!

I have just found Liz Wright tonight .What an Awesome talent. Her Beautiful presence along with her Angelic voice. I wonder why she isn't blowing up here in the US.She has everything that an artist should have. This is crazy. The Industry rather cram garbage down our throats and make us except it . Liz Wright , you and the artist that have the confidence to be YOURSELVES, which is totally God gifted and rare , in this tasteless entertainment era, Soon ,the Doors are gonna open wide so that you can bless the World with your extraordinary gift of Song ,and Beauty....PEACE
+Alice Snow I'm from her hometown Atlanta and hardly anyone here know about her. I saw her a few years ago for $10 and the place was almost empty. Such a shame.

No wonder you think that music has become tasteless. Stop listening to mainstream media. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN FULL OF RUBBISH, that's nothing new. Check out Cowboy Junkies, "Blue Moon Revisited". Check out Jon Gomm "Passionflower". There are thousands of current contemporary artists writing and performing magical music. You just have to ask and look for them. God bless.
Alice, Lizz is too good for mainstream music, they do not deserve her.
The industry can't do anything to you if you stop going to Minaj comcerts, stop buying Jay Z albums, and stop listening to pop/hiphop radio.
Instead, support good artists.
Simple. Dont blame "the industry." Blame your friends who listen to mainsyream crap.

One thing people dont appreciate about artists like Lizz is the genuine connection they make with the music. This is what she actually belives because in my own opinion this is something that you either have or not. Beauty, class power precision form embedded in function, this woman is something else,
This is just unbelievable... After 40 years of listening to music I have never seen or heard anything like it.
These are moments that you really thank the singer for having chosen this career. :)

A friend of mine and I saw her perform at B.B. Kings a couple of weeks ago (Jan 15th) and the place was almost full, but I was expecting a full crowd for one of the United State's national treasures. By the way, she sounded great that evening, but she didn't sing this song. I had seen her perform many years back with India.Arie at Carnegie Hall and she did sing this song. And I've been hooked ever since.

I love this song! I don't understand why this woman hasn't reached the top. She is fantastic! She speaks so eloquently and is defined by her character. A natural beauty! I have seen her in concert many times and I always walk away very well pleased. I guess because she isn't shaking her butt and spewing profanity, that she hasn't reached a higher plateau. I hope she sticks to this type of music. Eventually it will come back. What a shame!!!
She has reached the top. But fortunately for her not the top of mainstream media, which is a pile of fetid feces fit for a frolicking fart from fermenting fornication, fraught with fistula and frog shite. How's that for alliteration!

I listen to heavy metal but I stumbled upon here and this is amazing, gave me chills right away and no other genre or singer did that, and the guitar is amazing also
A friend of mine gave me the cd 'Dreaming wide awake' and ever since when I have moments to myself I sit back and listen to this great singer ánd musical arrangements. And this song is just beautiful..so pure, fragile and serene..just beautiful!

I just heard Lizz Wright on Music Choice (Xfinity) last night, and I was mezmerized! What an incredibile voice. I had to get up out of bed and write down her name, song & album. I finally got around to looking her up. I am excited to purchase Freedom & Surrender (2015) to add to my collection. She definitely will be one of the best jazz artists in my collection.

Discovered her today. What a beautiful voice, and the perfect interpretation of a song that is beautiful also. What really took me by surprise was that her sonority kind of remind some of the songs I compose and never show to anyone else - both harmonically and lyrics. I can say that it made smile, I really liked it!

Saw her at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta probably 5 years ago. I was totally mesmerized by her voice. She is such an incredible talent. I love that you cannnot categorize her. She is simply.............wonderful!
