Sounds like a bad baring in the alternator, while you were looking at it it looked like the alternators fan was moving in and out but I could be wrong , it just could just look that way because of the camera angle. Have a great Christmas.
I reved my old Chevy once had a flex fan The motor pulled the fan into the power steering pully nut, exploding taking the rad with it. Torque converter bolts?

I'll take a look at that. It quieted down after it ran a while. Got me wondering if it got some rust inside while it was sitting.

Wow. I had one come part of the way through the hood once.
Soap on belts yes sir

You could take a bar of soap, and hold it alongside the belt next to the alternator. if the noise goes away it's your belt slipping ever so slightly.
