Her ear regarding balance of chords and shading of each voice are only equaled by the greatest pianists. Also the moving purity and peace of her playing is unmatched in this work. Wonderfully inspiring!!

Supreme focus, grace, attention to the voicing of every note. The rubato moments are transcendent. Such peace is sent to the listener...hard to imagine applause for some time after the last note. A prayer at the piano.

И, вот счастье-то, блещет на западных сценах, куда закрыт сегодня доступ нашим мэтрам! В мирное время - фиг с ней. Но сегодня... В залах сидят те, кто стреляет по нашим, русским, солдатам! А эта продолжательница традиций дарит им свое искусство... Ее гастролями управляют итальянцы. А вот Гергиева ТАМ сегодня не принимают...Борис Березовский выступает в Сибири... И принимают его свои не хуже, чем европейские зрители. Традиции, говорите, эта девица продолжает... Ну-ну...

It's not just the technicality but musical depth of expression, Bach being the ultimate test of both.. it's the rare person like Alexandra who, to me, makes the strongest case for reincarnation & old souls. She has played these pieces before, perhaps for many lifetimes. Yet chose to come back to Earth to continue sharing beauty with the world. Thank you Alexandra, I cannot wait to hear your own compositions someday :)

Alexandra is a strong argument for the idea of an "Old Soul". A girl of, what, 17? channels hundreds of years of joy and sorrow since Bach composed this piece. Like some beautiful shaman, traversing the edges of human experience and bringing it back to us in her music.
