They will most likely keep it as one way. I know they are trial running another one way soon and if they feel it works they will be making more streets one way. Correct is the Jomtoen Language School, but if they have their business incorported as The Language School and have multiple locations they will call it location The Language School. Such as Jomtien The Language School or Bangkok The Language School etc.
I've got a condo on the 30th floor. Amazing balcony views. The traffic doesn't bother me. It's people who come to Thailand with little funds and think they can extort the locals. Enjoy retirement.
Trev, I went to see Dr Oliver in Jomtien and was diagnosed with AndroPause or male menopause. My testosterone was on the floor. He prescribed a 9 weekly testosterone injection. On returning to Australia I struggled to find a doctor to help me as there is a stigma involved. All I can say is the benefits I get from the injection are simply life changing. Not only did my energy levels increase my mood swings are far less frequent and of course is a bonus side effect. Thankfully I have found a doctor in Australia and the equivalent nebido injection is 90aud around 2000tbht vs the 7000tbht in Jomtien. Anyways good luck on your journey
I think the one-way system for Jomtien is a good thing. Much safer for pedestrians and motorists. Works fine on Beach Rd, businesses will adjust to the change soon enough, people just need to chill and give it time 👍
With the one way baht bus, for Jomtien beach road restaurants and bars it will be less convenient for tourists to go up and down the road. Yes can walk up the soi, but it's quite a ways to walk to catch the reverse bus. I think in Pattaya the side sois are shorter walks. Over time, yes, people will adapt and accept it.
Fully agree with you, it was so convenient just to hop on and off the Baht bus in the evening and get along the road, it was also great cause I could get straight into Pattaya centre without having to go to 2nd road. A lot of extra walking is getting done now to go to the 2nd road, shame that it's likely to stay in place now.
Good video, one way system is working well and I for one hope it stays. One possible downside is not all song taews go all the way along to the end of Jomtien beach road now. Some turn up Chayapruik and go back along second road so if you live in Na Jomtiem you might have a bit of a walk.
I was in Jomtien in December 2023 for several weeks and I found the 2-way street to be OK. However, I think that this 1-way system is a nuisance as I often took the Bahtbus into Pattaya from this road as did many other tourists. As to a good massage shop in Jomtien on the beach rd, I really enjoyed the "YouCare We Care Massage" because it was well air-conditioned, clean and the masseuse often played the relaxing music I wanted to hear when in the small rooms :) I went there several days a week to relax and cool off after swimming or walking the very long promenade and watching the different sporting activities which one can join in the evening.
The one-way has made it easier to cross the road... 90% of the traffic is moving north-to-south now. Still got to keep your eyes open though! Always, and I mean *ALWAYS* look both ways! 🤣🤣🤣
I take my hat off to you for breaking taboos about men's mental and physical health. Absolutely TOP content and discussion. It's the reason I watch everything you do, because you are HONEST TO A FAULT. More strength to you, sir 👍👍🙏+1.
People used to always call Pattaya Soi 13/2 Soi Post Office. Do they not do that anymore? The one-way system works in Pattaya. Perhaps it will work in Jomtien as well.
Soi 3, Fon is amazing, she really knows how to fix muscle issues. She has been there for many years. If you have body issues I strongly recommend her shop.
I'll try her. I've been using Thanya Health Massage for the last 3 years, which is between View Talay 2 (entrance) and the Jomtien bus station. Next to a European bar, Ask for Kan.
Jomtien is like Hotel California to me - once I check in I never leave (until the airport taxi arrives). Never go beyond party Soi 7. One way system makes it easier to cross the road going down to the beach. For a novel massage experience TBMI in Jomtien Complex. The male/female masseurs are blind/visually impaired, but can be spoiled by Russians (usually) talking or on their phones. 300 for 90 minutes Thai massage.
I think it is a great idea. the positive for me is that it also helps the bars in the soi you pass through to take the bus back to Pattaya. Plus there are no bars or entertain on the beach side anyway, also helps getting to the beach. I hope they keep it.
There is a nice pizza place right on Jomtien Beach road, one door down, just north of the Immigration station road. 60-80 baht for a healthy sized slice, depending on toppings. I recommend the 70 baht pepperoni. Also, there is a great smoothie place on the south side of the immigration road - maybe 40 yards from the pizza place & close to the beach as well. See the big ice cream cone on the right at 5:45 in this video. 35 baht for a good sized banana smoothie. They also have a couple of ice cream cone options. All before you get to Cheap Charlie's.
Whats noticeable when you're walking up Soi 5 is how much 'cleaner" the air appears to be and the environment around compared to back over in Pattaya I stayed very close last year to where you walked and definitely cleaner
I think the One Way system is better. Less crazy traffic. You can see it. Huge difference. Not so chaotic. I know though that it’s hurting some businesses. It’s a give and take. Pros and cons. Can’t have it perfect. Something has to give. Loved your walking tour of that area. That Gym looked nice. Noticed too that one area where they will build that huge set of new buildings (near that gym) will be partially financed by the Banyon Tree Group. That’s a high end development company. Builder. They usually build five star condos/resorts!
After watching maybe 100 of your videos since xmass I feel like a Pattaya expert and I’ve never been let’s see at 44 what kind of fun I can have in December in Pattaya
I think you are right Trev, people generally don't like change so there wil be resistance.i can see the one way system becoming permanent just like central pattaya. I just wish they'd look at soi bukhao.
Do you know mate when there digging up the road as am going for xamas for 4weeks but if there still drilling its going to be pattaya hotel for me can you advise also mate if they are drilling putting pipes in where on the beach road are they starting from and where it ends pls 🙏 do you thing the drilling pipe work will be finishing by December
Hi mate, sadly I can't say simply because yes it's meant to be completed however as they say, "this is Thailand". The main roadworks are really past Soi 7 towards Na Jomtien.
Look at the second road outside Rampo Market in the afternoon towards the city! It's always packed with cars and buses. Bath buses get stuck all the time. It's a nightmare to cross this road there outside soi 7 as a pedestrian. To go around many cars is using soi Bun Kachana witch is very narrow, it's a pure hell there sometimes.
The people who live long term in Jomptien like me. Live in Paradise. Obviously if you are worried about one way traffic get Grand Turismo and drive a Zonda.
Thailand is relaxing. Groups of 5$ bobs complain about everything because they never have what they feel they're entitled to. Tropical paradise fretting about the asphalt. The games up seniors. Go get excited about a red light special at the 2$ shoppe.
Second road will see a huge influx in traffic. During my 3 month stay at a condo I saw traffic accidents almost every day/night. Not sure if the one way is a great idea. I’m coming back to Jomtien on the 10th. I guess I will see how bad it is then.
Morning trev just watched the video about jomtien. As I live here I hate to tell you but you filmed the wrong end of beach rd The main problem area is along beach rd next to the police box .the busses have to turn right
At 15:20 on your video is where I go for a foot massage (just before the one you pointed out). The lady I see there is great and never have any pain from her work. Afterwards, I would head over to Maggie May for a different massage. As for the one way routing, when I was there they needed to change the signal timing where Second Road meets Thappraya as vehicles can no longer make a left on red coming from the beach, but come along Second and get backed up. It didn't look that bad in your video, but could be due to time of day or they have fixed it.
Jomtien looks so much more peaceful than Pattaya and the beach looks cleaner. In one of your videos Trevor could you Touch on Mosquitoes and Vaccines for travellers to Pattaya. Glad things are starting up look in the right direction and hopefully your one way system is pointing upwards. Thanks Tony
Hi mate in jomtien I know most of the beach front hotels but don't know the streets names where and what hotel dose the hotel start from and where dose it end pls as am going in December for a month and don't want it to spoil my holiday I don't mind trevor the one way system it's the drilling and banging outside of hotels that can be a nightmare trevor so what hotel dose the work start and end there's a little guest house in was going to go go to called blue house beach hotel jomtien it's at the bottom end of the beach I believe but am not sure if this hotel is also been effectived by the noise or will it be OK as it looks 2 miles down the beach any idea pls
Hi Trev, I think it's a silly idea. Stupid it's just gonna put more strain on second road. You have to keep walking up to get the batt bus and you can only go to one restaurant at a time or bar before you could go up and down on batt buses, did you notice how quiet beach Road was and then look at second road and it was chocker? No leave it as it was
TERRIBLE IDEA. The walking distance between Beach Road and Second Road in Jomtien is MUCH FURTHER and how long will the loop be? What about the Jomtien sois that don't link up to Second Road? Zero consultation from the powers that be. I bet they've never been on a Baht bus. 🤬
If a business is that effected by the road direction, doesn't that make them stooges. I dont see any drive thru fried rice places on Jomptien beach these days.
The 'man' pills' that you mentioned, I have found that there is a premium to be paid - the closer you get to Walking Street, the greater the premium. Pattaya Dark Side pharmacies tend to sell them anything up to half price.
one could see it may have an effect with the one - way especially at Jontiem rather than comparing with Pattaya beach road and 2nd road as its been like that for as long as I can remember , that's the thing about being nice to people .... they then exploit it , he should have asked
For good legit massage I like "You Care , We care" on Beach rd between soi 4 and 5 ask for Zara if you like a real strong masseuse. and Patty's Massage and Salon further south on Beach rd just past Laroma Restaurant between Soi 7 and 8 where Nam also is one of my favourites. Both of those girls are well trained , they have helped my sciatica tremendously over the last 3 months.
Jomtien is more Thai family oriented and established businesses must compete with hundreds of thai street vendors and 4 night markets. It's not caused by the one way traffic situation.
Yeah the beach chairs can only stay there for a few hours then go. Not a full day thing rather like yourself Trev do other stuff places to visit you can always find new things or even just go to a new town you never been to just for a look around.
I just dont see the value in it. Yes the idea is to ease congestion and have a steady flow of traffic in just one direction and it that sense it works, but what about the businesses that say theyre struggling why not listen to them first? What about if you dont have your transport and just want to stroll around, you have to do a loop around if you want to go back and forth, instead if just being able to take a baht bus up and down? What if you have mobility issues? I just think it makes thing alot more difficult when it doesnt need to be, especially for the business owners all up and down who already got kicked in the nutz cos of covid.
Hahaha...just heard you say Subway steak and cheese....man o man it's great. Best I have ever had including Australia is from Soi Bukhao and girls are awesome fun whilst u wait
I worked in that language school must be 13 yrs ago it's was called the language school it's still the same owner why she changed to that name God knows
As someone who lives very near here, and hits Beach Road a few times per week, the one way thing is perfectly fine. *People are just ass hats when anything changes.* As for the businesses, if someone liked your business in the past, they won't let a one-way street keep them from coming back. If they don't come back, then they didn't really like your business all that much. Get better at what you do. Advertise better as well. I myself prefer the one way Beach Road. It's a helluva lot safer crossing the street to the beach, except when a dill hole tries to slip back against traffic on a scooter. People will eventually adjust, but they like to hear themselves cry about it for a while first. Give it 6 months and, outside of a few tools, people won't even remember what it was like as a two-way street.
Slowdown in businesses is a global flue due to high interest rates. Business association should meet authorities with their collective amount of investments and expected loss of revenue in form of less tax to authorities and threat of job losses vis a vis one way benefits. Then they may change their decision. It's important to go with alternate plans for underlying objective of their new policy. Good luck🤞🤞
Jomtiem Oneway issues, you might have to ask the tourits and local business and also police records of violations and crimes after they ve changed it in March. Personally, I find it inconvenient driving the rental motor bikes because I have to drive around into the sois to do loops in case I have missed the premise like restaurants or shops.
I think the one way system is good as now we have bhat bus on second road going the other way, one question the bhat bus on second Rd where does that finish does it by chance go all the way to Pattaya thia.. Anyone else know please. 🤔🤔

Good to see you out and about Trev. If I ever make it to Pattaya someday, Ill make sure to try to meet ya in the Buzzin Bar to say hello.

I’ve had the same problems when going back to Aus, they are really backwards when it comes to men’s health and TRT.
Our health system is definitely geared towards the beautiful women in our lives yet they pretend to care about men's health
Change your diet dude. meat, veg, water, only. zero bad carb (no sugar, no wheat, no rice, no beer etc)

Yeah the beach chairs can only stay there for a few hours then go. Not a full day thing rather like yourself Trev do other stuff places to visit you can always find new things or even just go to a new town you never been to just for a look around.
Cheers mate
You should have come down on a busy weekend. I understand they plan the same system for Pattaya.
They are making a few changes soon, but Pattaya is pretty much one way anyway, Beach Road, second rd
Better left one way in my opinion, big 4wheel drives make driving against them very difficult

Nan at Maneerrat on 13/2 is Fantastic for your Visa and 90 day chk ins have been here for 2 yrs have never stepped foot in immigration office
Yes she is awesome, used her for the last 10 years
13/2 in Pattaya?

I just dont see the value in it. Yes the idea is to ease congestion and have a steady flow of traffic in just one direction and it that sense it works, but what about the businesses that say theyre struggling why not listen to them first? What about if you dont have your transport and just want to stroll around, you have to do a loop around if you want to go back and forth, instead if just being able to take a baht bus up and down? What if you have mobility issues? I just think it makes thing alot more difficult when it doesnt need to be, especially for the business owners all up and down who already got kicked in the nutz cos of covid.
Gotcha mate
It's a pain for me having to walk up from the beach to second road because I'm disabled.Maybe it's about giving more business to the motorbike boys.
Am sorry to read this
Hahaha...just heard you say Subway steak and cheese....man o man it's great. Best I have ever had including Australia is from Soi Bukhao and girls are awesome fun whilst u wait
You just can't beat a Subway LOL

Trevor what side is the best side of the road.
The one where you don't get run over.
Face the traffic

@@Buzzinpattaya Not a joke 👍. We all suffer walking in the hot sun 🌞 💦😅.
Yes . Steady Eddy said this is really bad . Keep that hat on mate . 😂

The rompoo çomplex hospital rumours have been going since i first came in 2013 , so don't think it's going to happen.
Yeah we love a rumour here
As someone who lives very near here, and hits Beach Road a few times per week, the one way thing is perfectly fine.
Change is either embraced or hated
You're definitely a firm's man!
Trevor, a bloke from Jomptien, he's 36 and he has married a 17 year old Thai girl. Can this be true?
Well if that's true that's mental
Slowdown in businesses is a global flue due to high interest rates. Business association should meet authorities with their collective amount of investments and expected loss of revenue in form of less tax to authorities and threat of job losses vis a vis one way benefits. Then they may change their decision. It's important to go with alternate plans for underlying objective of their new policy. Good luck🤞🤞
Gotcha
The boulevard one way system? That sucks!
It's okay
Its all way to expensiv! They have to give 50% Discount on everything,Hotels food entertaining everything!
ok
Jomtiem Oneway issues, you might have to ask the tourits and local business and also police records of violations and crimes after they ve changed it in March. Personally, I find it inconvenient driving the rental motor bikes because I have to drive around into the sois to do loops in case I have missed the premise like restaurants or shops.
Yeah I get ya mate
It's interesting what anonymously people are capable of implying. But nobody really notices.
Basement dwellers are special lol
Trev why do you call pattaya sai song road, second road... always confuses me
Sai Song in Thai means Second Road
@@B3Band got it, thank you both
Given the coconuts to all his friends or sold them at a tidy profit?
Lol
I think the one way system is good as now we have bhat bus on second road going the other way, one question the bhat bus on second Rd where does that finish does it by chance go all the way to Pattaya thia.. Anyone else know please. 🤔🤔

What are you taking like 200mg Test C per week? Start working out and you'll get huge gains quickly.
I am doing as advised. Working out, trust me I've spent all my life in a gym, time to have me time again

Why try to fix something if it's not broken? Traffic in both directions please.

It was broken so that's why they changed it

Best massage in Jomtien is Soi 6. lol
yes. The only problem is that its a dead end street. If you don't like the options, you have to walk by them again 555.

On holiday just nowin Pattaya the whole fucking city is a joke. Cars need to be stopped far too many in the city. Pattaya is basically like bkk at times.
