My mom wasn't fond of it when we got a dog, we got a toyfox terrier. But she is absolutely terrified of mice and rats. One time a mice got loose at our cottage, our dog killed it instantly and ever since my mom has loved our dog more than her kids xD The dog is always on my moms lap and sleeps with her.

I had a pit bull (big dog species) but he literally killed rats in the neighborhood, like even in peoples yards, dig up the rat holes, and kill all of them. The thing is, he never ate them unless they were small. He just murdered them and left their corpse. I have a small dog now but she's a lazy Chihuahua, doesn't even bark :/

I've had rat terriers for over 20 years and I can tell you, they are patient and willing to wait they are quick, and there isn't a rodent alive that can escape! I love my little terriers!

That mouse was literally a treat for the dog. The dog loved it. You could literally see the anticipation in the dog by how it shook with excitement before gobbling up that little morsel. Given a choice between that mouse and a dog biscuit.. I am willing to bet that the dog will go for the mouse every time. Just because you have personal reservations or are simply too squeamish is no reason to insult the dog for being a dog.
