    The "Fishin Physician Assistant" is a fishing boat and tournament team based out of Sodus Bay... but mostly we are group of guys who love to troll the Great Lakes! We try to post videos regularly throughout the fishing season. Our target species are brown trout, rainbow trout, lake trout, King salmon and Coho Salmon in Lake Ontario... but we will catch anything, anywhere if given the chance!
    we try to post exciting fishing videos, as well as instructional content about Great Lakes trolling

    Do you need a pulley or do you just use the cisco mount unit

    Thank you for this update! What is your opinion about these kind of planer”boats” do they pull hard? We might use these for pike fishing in Europe. Using 2-3 rods with heavy swimbaits of 200-250gram. Or will the planer come towards the boat?
    Ever used a double normal Style planerboard in stead of these and What would you advise?
    Hope you let me know and wish you good fishin!

      I use them pulling copper line, deep diving rapalas, etc. They work great. we use a double keel on the bottom which prevents the board from hanging back too much, when a lot of heavy lines are attached. running 2-3 rods with swimbaits shouldn't be an issue

    Thanks for the detailed explanation! I’m having a hard time getting the release to slide down the the planer board line. The release clips just stop about mid way and I have to shake the cord to get it down to the board. Any tips on this or am I doing something wrong? Thank you!

    I've watched your videos a dozen times and get more out of them each time I watch them. I grew up in Canandaigua and fished the finger lakes, and ontario. You've really got fishing that area down to a science.

    When your running 3 lines on one side do you run the furthest back closest to the planer board or closest to the boat?

    • @fishinphysicianassistant6380
      @fishinphysicianassistant6380  6 років тому +3

      jacob4970 I run them all the same length. The one furthest out will have the most “slack” line when the fish pulls the line off he release, and that line will swing out and around the other lines

    I still need to understand how you control the distance between each trolling line since the snap attached to each rod line is feely moving alongside the line towards the planner?? Surely the position of the rod is not enough to keep lines from getting tangled.

    • @fishinphysicianassistant6380
      @fishinphysicianassistant6380  3 роки тому

      It's all about how much line you let out. First, you set a lead from the lure to the release, then you let out line from the rod to the release, and that determines distance
