Cro-Magnon, Neanderthal, Denisovan and who knows what else interbreed. The indo-europeans (caucasians) migrated from Asia to Europe. So, yeah, there's traces of them in Mongolia, Japan (the Ainu), Iran, etc, etc.
The mummies in the Chinese pyramids (or at least some of them) are ginger. Same with some mummies of Egypt. But as far as I know gingerness doesn't happen in asian or african races, only in the caucasian one.
Maybe it would be more accurate to say Gengis Khan had a big % of caucasian genes. But if both his features and DNA point towards mostly caucasian, then I think it's safe to say he was indeed caucasian.

I've heard a lot of Asians born and living in Asian countries think the same on us. My black friend was told constantly he looked like Obama when he was stationed in Korea. And he looks nothing like him. It works both ways. People who are not used to seeing certain race will assume the few the see looked very similar because of a certain feature. Asians with their eyes and black people with their skin tone.

It's always fun to watch Conan with people who you know he absolutely loves spending time with, as opposed to people who just happen to be promoting something. And other whites, they’re just so colorful, but yeah some do look alike, but rarely. Asians doe...they all have the same facial features, same eye shape, same eye color, pale, black hair, and they really do try to be white over there, even like dying their hair brown, or colored contacts to change their dark eye color, I mean it’s really perspective, but here they really all just look the same.

For example, here we have 20 million people, 10 million of them have blonde hair and another 10 million have red hair, so if we want to identify someone we cannot totally rely on their hair colours or the eye colours, it's not like that you guys all have different hair and eye colours. As for nose shapes, northern Chinese and southern Chinese have different nose shapes, Japanese has a more distinct one, but I guess you still having trouble to distinguish them, so do I have the same problem for the western nose shapes.

As a computer science student, I kind of know why. Face recognition is a difficult task that needs a lot of training. People think people of other races look alike, simply because they don't have enough training samples (they don't have enough friends of other races) and their face classifiers for other races are not well trained. The same goes for other learning tasks too, such as speech recognition. For example, when you learn a second language, there are always different words that sound the same to you, while for native speakers, these words sound totally different.
By living in a Europe country, even the police called me once “Chimp” and machines say the same thing, I’m convinced this is our fault for being born as Asian. Sorry for existing…

As you probably already know, the word "Asia", used casually, would usually mean South East Asia. And for historical and genetical reasons, many Chinese, Corean and Japanese people actually look fairly similar, even to themselfs. I have heard this personally from a few of them, studying or living here in Sweden.

I have never understood why some people thinks east asians look a like or africans look a like, sure there are some that does, but it is like that no matter what part of the world you descent from.
cause many white people back in the day never saw real asians or blacks. most of us asians have black hair and black eyes and blacks have dark skin and black hair. it's a stereotype that whites started and it became the normal thing to say. such is our racist american history.
it's ok though, it's 2015. we're slowly moving forward. i suspect that by the time my kids are my age, they will have to face this kind of BS less and less. at least lets hope.

Hell, I'm Korean-American. Could I tell the difference between a Czech and a Russian, or a Belgian and a Dutchman? Maybe, but it'll be because of a good guess.
The thing is that pretty well all asian people have the same skin tone, hair color, and eye color. White people on the other hand have a wide variety of hair and eye color, and skin tones. So it's not racist to say that they are harder to tell apart.
