Chaparral Motorsports I did not give you a thumbs down but I can attempt to answer. There were parts where you were having trouble installing. Maybe just edit that part out to show a seamless instillation.
@@aemondtargaryen972 Thanks for your reply. Don't now why it just showed up in my notifications today... Thank you for your insight. Chaparral Motorsports as soon as a third rider connects, all riders hear the popping noise all the way up to five riders so far. Then the dropping starts and we have to keep reconnecting group.
I don't think your getting thumbs down for your setup, because it was extremely helpful and well articulated. I will unfortunately point out that it is pronounced se-nah not see-nah. the company will confirm this on their website. I gave this a thumbs up based on my original sentence, super helpful and well articulated.
Thank god I watched your video first, I went ahead and used the sticky pad first I had totally forgotten about it and it worked like a charm with the little wire mic
Hi Kyle! Great video, I just installed my Sena SMH5 in this helmet following this steps. I have a question for you regarding on this helmet shield, I got this same RST Silver shield and it's just a few days have gone and it's starting to look super scratched, looks like the finish is very thin and delicate, super delicate! for example as I was following the video I put the helmet in my lap and when I noticed it I had a silver stain in my pants, yesterday when I cleaned with a micro fiber cloth it got little scratches. It's always like that on those shields? In the video yours looks scracthed too but not that bad. What advise can you give me? Regards
Dude! That is horrible! Yes, the RST is more delicate than a clear shield, as it is a coating... BUT it should not come off that easy. TIP - Never use any chemical to clean it with... I take a wet paper towel, set it on the shield for like 10 minutes and the wipe gently dry with a micro fiber. I rode mine for a year and did not have any problems UNTIL I used a Scott No Fog Cloth on it... then it got super scratched and really hard to see through. USE WATER ONLY is my trick to the RST coatings. - Kyle
I'd contact the folks you purchased from... the RST shield should never leave silver on your pants! All of the coated shields, especially the mirrored versions, do scratch but not that easy. Tip... never use chemicals to clean them either... We will have Kyle respond with his tips: -- Chap Moto Team
@@manybikes Thank you! Maybe a little video with this tips would be very helpful to a lot of people who buys this kind of shields. There is very little info about how to properly take care of them. Regards
Thank you for your inquiry Mathieu. Yes, the Packtalk Slim will work great in this helmet. Installation is nearly the same. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
@@chaparralmotorsports You're wrong, I tried it, the slim does not fit on the airflite due to the back part of the slim. There's no where for it to go in.
You must cut away the plastic skirt in order for the intercom to fit between the outer shell and the eps liner. It works, but modification is necessary.
Hello Don, yes we had to make a slight modification in order to get the clamp mount to fit. If we had used the sticky mount then we wouldn't have needed to make any modifications to the helmet.
Sena? As in Ayrton Sena of F1? So, can you make and receive phone calls with just a voice command? If so, I'm buying. With my old helmet, I have to pull over to answer calls, but almost always I would miss a call for obvious reason.
For the voice technology you are seeking, go with the PackTalk Bold - it has Natural Voice Recognition : www.chapmoto.com/cardo-systems-scala-rider-packtalk-bold-bluetooth-communication-system-606-srpt2002
You are correct. Icon wanted to make it "tough to fit" an existing bluetooth headset as they were coming out with their RAU unit here: www.chapmoto.com/icon-rau-communication-system-038-4402-0779 Sticks to the helmet and has a flat cable. It works well. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Ha! Ha! Or they were in the process of making their own that didn't make it to market by the launch date of this helmet... 6 months later their proprietary unit comes to market. Go figure...
Thank you for your comment Blake. Look at the boom, there will be an arrow or triangle on once side just downstream from the mic. That symbol will go towards your mouth. Hello, thanks for watching our video. If you have an older GoPro model (3 or 4 version) You can use the Sena Hero Backpack mounted on the GoPro to record audio. What GoPro do you have?
How about the trick to get rid of the massive popping noise and rider drop out when connected to three or more riders. Please don't say to do a factory reset or jump on one foot.
Headset issues... Arrrah! I struggle with the dropping of users with 4 riders too.... and have not yet found a solution. Regarding the POP noise, that I have not experienced. I'd recommend swapping speakers from another headset to see if is your speakers. Do the other riders in your group of 3 or 4 get the same popping? Thanks for watching. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Was looking at this helmet but Jesus I don't want to cut the shit out of it to install a com. You'd think they'd have some consideration for one being a $300 helmet.
josezone22 also a MT07 owner, I personally haven’t noticed any helmet noise yet but i’m also always focusing on everything else around me besides it lol, i really like the helmet, would recommend

dude you just cut a hole on the fucking helmet, and then. you ask why you get downvoted? not all of us want to see that
I didn't downvote but I'd like to see how you removed the piece you cut. Or how you cut it. Seems like it's the only way to get around 3M sticking it.

Hi Dylan, glad you liked the video and found it helpful. Thanks for watching.
Chaparral Motorsports very helpful I was getting quite frustrated
The cut in the trim piece is a great idea, i tried the sticky mount and it just fell off while i was riding. Thank you for the idea
Glad it helped!
Thumbs Up! What do you like about this set-up?
Chaparral Motorsports using this exact set up soon

Hi Scootin, thanks for watching our video. Yeah installation is pretty similar. You may need to make a few adjustments depending on your helmet.
