Still one of the greatest breakdowns ever
Bad ass cover as always brother!! Can we see a get in side by Stone Sour???
100%. Still gets me even after all these years.
One of the most unique songs ever. Miss the 90's big time
Miss the 90's too, back when creativity and originality were at its peak.
@@MysticGuitar77 The way I see it, this bridge went from hilarious, to chilling, to super scary. Especially with how the guitars sounded.
2:47-3:35 Amazing! Thanks for including your tuning.
Thanks for watching!
It's crazy how many people forgot to like! This was simply amazing!!!
Great playing man and your audio quality is great, really cuts through! Well done bro! \m/
Thanks man!
@@MysticGuitar77 Awesome \m/
You are truly one of if not the best guitar cover artist on UA-cam, absolutely love your vids dude, I’m learning a lot from your Godsmack covers at the minute 😁 keep it up dude 🤟🏼
Means a lot man! Thank you!
@@MysticGuitar77 no worries! Also can I just ask, are you planning on doing any more Shinedown covers? They are my all time favourite band, it would be awesome to see more of them from you
@@ethanudall Definitely will be thinking about doing more Shinedown in the future.
@@MysticGuitar77 yessss!!! Awesome, I’m very excited for what they’re currently calling “Shinedown 7” 😁
Can you Got the Life Next and I love the cover bro
Man you have the best nu metal covers on YT, idk why people hate a lot this genre, is so sad but true, the "metalheads" need to be thankful because this was the last "rock" movement on the mainstream competing with other genres such rap, hip hop, pop and a lot of the music genres during the 90s and 00s, after nu metal era ends rock, metal and punk where not popular any more, cheers from México!!!
Thank you and well said! I think the metal community has eased up a lot on the nu-metal era in more recent years. They sort of had to since so much of the modern metal that everybody praises has taken a lot of inspiration from nu-metal and still dissing nu-metal would make you a pretty big hypocrite lol.
@@MysticGuitar77 yeah that's right! And btw nu metal is my favorite genre that's why I like so much your covers! 2 of my 5 favorite bands are Nu-Metal or they where nu metal back then, (deftones, linkin park) i I really love this genre because was so fucking NU, just imagine combining rap, hip-hop, metal, grunge, alternative, funk and DJ! That's mind-blowing!!!
Great cover as always man. Would be awesome to see you cover Justin from this album
Thanks man!
Yeah finally new Freak on a leash guitar cover! Lets see how good did you do it
legends only playing the song i requested this is a dream come true
Thanks for watching!
Nice to hear some oldschool riffage.
Thanks for watching!
Great job :)
If you never tried the Helix Native plugin try it, they added in the new Helix 3.0 firmwares a stereo widing effect, makes double tracking almost not necessary, you might like it.
Great cover!! You're very good 😊
Thanks!
@@MysticGuitar77 😊
Kickass cover!
No better way to cover a korn classic than with an ibanez 7 string. How it's meant to be.
Yes!!!
Damn. U nailed it. Would love to see your foot pedal work on it though. Thanks man. Do Here to Stay! :)
Thanks man!
Nice
Thanks!
👍🏻
❤️❤️❤️
temazo
Great video!.
What is the effect since start until 0:28, before you use mxr phase 90?, it's a simple distortion with high sustain?, thanks!.
Good shit bro.
You should have mirror imaged both guitar parts. Otherwise great job man. I just got my 7 string so I’ll be utilizing. 👏
I haven't used the split-screen video software in awhile and didn't feel like re-learning how to do it right then lol. I did record audio for both guitar parts though.
@@MysticGuitar77 bro thanks for the response. I love your channel. I cal down with covid and will be out of work for at least a week. My plan is to utilize your videos and build my skills.
@@Jsclaser98 Sucks to hear man, damn virus... feel better!
This is great, but why not hit the strings on the head during the sustained intro? For that little octave triad?
Brilliant! What`s the effect used in the beginning? UniVibe or something?
What was the effects pedal used to achieve the higher notes towards the end of the song?
Whammy pedal
Perfect 🤟🔥🥀🖤
What's your guitar?
Playing this with an ibanez is the correct move
que pro
What are the effects for the bridge before the massive chromatic riff?
A maxed out phaser if I remember right.
Follow the leader 1998
"Chi"? From "Life is peachy". Been trying to play it for years! I just can't get it. I'll buy you a case of beer for that one bro!
Chi's got one of those stiff, hand-cramper riffs like Korn had a lot of back in the earlier days. Just kills your left hand. Not a very fun song to play lol but it's on my personal bucket list to do so I will do it eventually.
\m/ Haven't watcha good cover in a while!!!! How do you feel about the band Avatar?
very good cover !!! do you accept play an korn cover dual guitar with me ?
can i know what thickness of pick did you use in this cover? 😁
Hey bro whats the tab for the bridge right before the heavy part
Think you can do Stepa at some point?
Do u really need a 7 string to play this? All I have is a 6 string guitar
Not hitting the open G string on the octave or on the A in the chorus. Pretty good other than that but that song lives off the haunting suspension
What tuning is this is it drop B
What guitar is that, it looks fucking amazing
Ibanez RG1527 Prestige
@@MysticGuitar77 thank you
What tuning is this
Have so used EHX Small Stone?
I used an MXR Phase 90 for this cranked up all the way. I don't know what Korn originally used but the Phase 90 doesn't really have the same ripple that the recording has but it's pretty close.
@@MysticGuitar77 They probably originally used EHX Small Stone, but this is really close too.
He does the opening riff but at @3:14 he starts hitting open strings. Listen to the real version buddy yo
The other guitar does that little overdub, I chose to just play the main rhythm there. They don't even do that part live.
@@MysticGuitar77 what do you mean overdub
@@lauri-jeancarlson7418 It's a 3rd guitar playing that and Korn only has 2 guitar players which is why they don't play it live. Overdubbing is just adding an extra part for a little extra flavor which is what that is. You can add as many guitars as you want in the studio.
@@MysticGuitar77 No he hit the power chord and then open strings.... you just can't play it.
@@lauri-jeancarlson7418 It's not even open strings, it's a bend and it's an entirely separate guitar playing it which is why it rings out overtop of the power chords. It's not possible to play a bend and hold it like you hear while playing a chord progression. Nobody can do that unless you have a third hand which is why it was dubbed in as any extra guitar in the recording. Watch any live video of this song and they don't play it live. The chorus does have open strings ringing out while playing the power chords which I did play and you can clearly hear during the chorus. You just don't know what you're talking about.
