Jakoby gets along well with Drake and since Maye has been a net positive so far, I think you have to give Wolf credit for the Jakoby signing. He is doing his job seemingly. The results are there.
If Strange can come back and be a good/great Center and Verdarian Lowe can continue to show improvements at LT and the line can get healthy, I'm okay taking a WR round 1 and then a Tackle or Lineman in round 2. If they can't sign anyone.
a B?? HAhahahahha. I seriously think your average fan would've drafted better. Every other pick besides maye was absolute dog shit. and Maye was a no-brainer.
We found a Qb that alone is a C regardless if u don’t hit on the other picks. Finding a qb is the hardest thing to hit on. With a qb everything else will be easier
Hey Phil what about the WR Tetairoa McMillan from Arizona? Not worth #1 overall considering the talent in this draft. AVP has to set up routes that doesn't put 3 receiver in the same area, giving db's an easy job and Maye having a hard time figure out who will be open
Is it possible that Maye's abilities coverup problems that urgently need to be addressed? And, what happens if Maye gets hurt, and the backup QB needs to have a good left tackle to succeed?
If the top end talent isn't there, then trade for extra picks. We have so many needs. We need a pass catching back, who can be a legit runningthreat as well. Obviously we need OL help. But also DL and linebacker. We can't stop the run either. That's how you help Maye. Let him develop chemistry with Douglas, Boutte, Bourne, and Henry. The last thing Maye needs is another receiver saying "throw me the ball". Find out first how good this group can become. Then add another receiver later, or in free agency. We may never get a chance like this to fill the roster with a lot of young talent, don't screw this up!!
@patfanortiz8973 alot of misses as well. Youre more likely to hit on WRs than Tackles in the late rounds. QB and Tackles are the most important to take in round 1.
There wasn't a lot of line talent available on the FA market, they signed some what was available. The draft was the binary decision - stick n pick or get line/WR talent. They chose wisely, took the stud QB (and yes it was a risk - all coaches agree its 50/50 even in the 1st round). For the 2 lineman they took in Rds 3 and 4, wait a year, see what they mature to after a year in the league plus an offseason. FA WR's didn't want to come to NWE, and can you blame them? This coming offseason will be different.
They need to hire me already to speak sports in Boston as I have been saying this in the comments day one, wouldn't be surprised if they read my comments and took notes 😂
@shaunwhatsnext He's young and he plays with a qb who doesn't throw the ball that often. I think he holistic in much better with the patriots and what they want to do.
@@davidlawrence8051 enough to be 9th in the league for attempts. Also, Tez Walker has played a TOTAL of 4 snaps this season. Obviously not good enough to even get on the field yet
Depends where they pick he is not a top 3 picks in my opinion. If pat gets top three picks I would trade down to 6 or 8. Get a 2025 second round pick and a 2026 first round pick. So that they will have 3 picks in this year first 40 picks
If a big time O line prospect is available, you need to take him. How did drafting 3rd and 4th round offensive lineman turn out? Winning football starts on the offensive and defensive line
The offensive line is the first priority. We could have had Cooper Beebe and we took Wallace. The offensive line scouts should be fired. We can get a receiver via free agency.
Instead of drafting Ladd Mcconkey who looks real good rn you trade back to take Polk WTF WAS THAT even I knew that was horrid in the moment like come on man. Also PLAY JAVON BAKER WTF ELSE DO WE HAVE TO LOSE AT THIS POINT SEE WHAT YOU HAVE
They need a number one receiver from the draft to grow with Maye thats the only way this offense will get better and Kraft needs to spend some money!!!
No, sign a WR in FA, they proved they are no better than BB at drafting one. But regardless of which they try for in the draft, the key is this team needs to spend money next offseason. They are not going to rebuild a team that has needs everywhere in a draft and a couple of dollar store signings.
@@Peacehardly Best available, they have over 100 million in cap space, use it. There are good LT's available as well from what I understand, one of them too.
Can’t put too much around him in year one. No FA was interested in NE and even after we drafted Maye people didn’t want to come. Next year actually start criticizing these guys if they prove they can’t do anything. Bill put them in a big hole.
Couldn't disagree more! You build from INSIDE OUT, on O and D. They need OTs and DTs. The successful teams have a QB, OTs and on D, they have DTs. We also need a C and a good G. Build the damned infrastructure before toy shopping. Even RB is more basic and critical than WR.
I’m gone to give him a F because the two picks he used for a wr he should have gone offensive line man we had wr already that he picked up have to let them play it’s too crowded at the wr position
Eliot Wolf grade: F - Jerod Mayo grade : F AVP grade: B, just because thanks to him Drake has taken great strides as a QB, but in play calling I would give him a D.
Phill Perry Opinions over the years haven't been so Bad He needs to be on more shows
I agree
One of the few with substance in the pats media world.

Detroit Lions have been nailing their first round picks for the last 5 years. Doesn't matter what position they pick as long as they get it right..
They pick the best football player on the board regardless of position
Rebuild started with Penei Sewell draft. We need an anchor Tackle
Jakoby gets along well with Drake and since Maye has been a net positive so far, I think you have to give Wolf credit for the Jakoby signing. He is doing his job seemingly. The results are there.
Also, they need to add a series of plays for Marcus Jones! He's the most talented offensive weapon they have, use the freaking guy!!!
If Strange can come back and be a good/great Center and Verdarian Lowe can continue to show improvements at LT and the line can get healthy, I'm okay taking a WR round 1 and then a Tackle or Lineman in round 2. If they can't sign anyone.

God bless the Senator.
I love me some Philip Perry

When you build a team you start with the line of scrimmage They took Maye first and got lucky now you must build that line
You can get good o linemen in the 2nd and 3rd rounds
@patfanortiz8973 like last year ? Take one of those top 2 LT and your set for 10-12 years potentially
@patfanortiz8973 alot of misses as well. Youre more likely to hit on WRs than Tackles in the late rounds.

I still say Tez Walker should have been drafted over Baker. I like Baker but he played with Drake Maye and he can catch deep passes.
He can't be too good ravens traded for Johnson

Like who? KJ Osborne lol. All the best WR in the league were drafted by their teams. They get traded when they become a problem or get old
More focus on elite coaching staff(former HCs), then OL and WR….
If McMillan enters the draft this year he’s the no brainer at #1 for the pats

Always draft offensive line. You can bring in a WR through free agency. The market for good offensive linemen is sparse.
It's way too early to conclude that the only positive we got from the draft was Drake Maye.
I think they have done a horrible job to build around Maye especially with the cap they had but I feel like they’ll turn it around
D- for Elliot rentention of players that are either not available or can’t perform
And no additional players added that would help
