  • Capillary pressure (Pc) from special core analysis data can be an excellent method to build saturation height function. Good quality, controlled datasets tend to produce good correlations for saturation height models.
Our Global Technical Manager Jules Reed provides a basic introduction to a workflow for building core-based saturation height functions, focusing on a few models in particular.
    Key takeaways from the session:
    - How capillary pressure impacts saturation height
    - Measurement uncertainties and QC checks
    - Review of the Leverett-J & Foil functions
    - Review of an empirically derived model

Never forgetting that : cap pressure derived saturation gives the potential H/C saturation a specific rock MAY have. It does not work if a rock has lost its charge or , not been filled !
