I second the work needed on 125, as well as the speed issues! I live around the Richards Lane area of 125, and it's wild. As drivers leave the highway and commercial area of 125 south and enter into a residential area moving north, the speed actually *increases* and makes the neighborhood incredibly unsafe. Couple that with the complete lack of sidewalks, lights, and crosswalks, and it's hands down the worst place to raise a family in Freeport. Route 125 is almost all single family homes, can we please fix this issue? We can't even walk out our front door and down the street for fear of being hit, we're forced to take our car everywhere! Reduce the speed limit on the Freeport portion of 125, build sidewalks, and add crosswalks! Best, A Concerned Citizen
