It’s always a pleasure to watch your creativity unfold. The inside of your cabin is wonderful, as is! As some suggested use a hand planer on areas only you are bothered by, trust me, we see no flaws😉. Your self effacing humour and apparent lack of ego are so refreshing. Can’t wait for Tito to join you. Be safe buddy! Canadian fans 👵🐶😉🥰🇨🇦

I redid the drywall in my little cabin in northern Michigan and wound up with a few cracks in the seams in the ceiling that no matter what I did, thry kept reoccurring so now I follow my neighbors advise after complaining to him about the cracks. His words of wisdom.....don't look up. It works for me.

Why not make some kind of 2 wheel dolly for pulling in your raw logs. That will keep the lead end out of the dirt and allow you to pull much more weight. Just jack it up a foot or so and put the dolly under chain it and giddy up !

I had not expected much from it but I’ve beat the snot out of it and haven’t wrecked it yet. It was so cheap I don’t care much if fails but so far it hasn’t. Thanks for the video Ryan!

24:41 I just did a white oak slab recently (wet, fell down in Jan, cut in may). 3.75” thick, 15.5(ish)” wide and 6’4” long. It weighed over 320#. Had to cut it into the 4x6” I wanted by rotating the slab 90* on the remainder of the log. Good luck lifting what you are about to cut!

With all that sawdust, you are to make a couple of raise Garden beds and then you can Take any wood that you don't need for anything else. And all the bark that you collect throw in the bottom of the garden bad. Then you can put the saw dust on top of that and then put some dirt on top of that. And then you got a really good growing area, quote your own food.

Great video. The log was a mystery until the end. It’s fun to watch you figure things… let’s just cut a wedge. If you decide that resin in the hole is a pain you could cut out a hole and slide a bowl in it and that could be your candy or dip bowl. One of those stainless steel little dog bowl with the wide lip. It still amazes me how much wood you can produce in a short time. Have a safe and happy 4th and down burn anything down or burn anything up!

The English Longbow made out of Yew were constructed with a combination of yew heartwood for compressive strength and the sapwood for elasticity.
The idea is a yew trunk makes quite a few longbow. Each one taken off the outside around the trunk.
Henry VIII longbow Yew (As found on the Mary Rose Henry the VIII flagship) actually came from Turkey they did not use English Yew.

I think that generator is just a little small to run your planer. If you don’t buy a carry around generator you can get more for your money by buying the bigger size that sits on the ground on legs. You need about 4000 W of power to do what you want.

I have the Harbor Freight version (2000 watt Predator) of your generator. Mine refuses to stay running if an oil change or new spark plug is due. They have such a small amount of oil in the crankcase that it doesn't take long (8-10 hours of runtime) to get dirty. The spark plugs are pretty tiny too and the gap is critical. Who knew the Chinese would make something so finicky?

I think you should build a logging ARCH TRAILER to help you lift and move bigger heavier logs as it uses wenches and chains similar to your log lifter AND YOUR LOGS STAY CLEANER. Ivwe seen acouple of them now Dave Wiffle with bush radical and another younger canadian guy as in work smart and not hard basically two wheel trailer with no axel between it and an arch and a long bar to hook to the hitch or ball on your atv its a pretty amazing tool and can save you a lot of physical lifting and TRANSPORTING millable logs. And maybe build you a heavy duty milling table for either milling single or multiple logs for milling with ramps n that way you can use the wench from your atv instead of trying to lift them onto the table n you can drill peg holes in your table for holding your logs secure while milling them. Just my two cents work smarter not harder and stay healthier while your doing it course thats up to you...
