great way to test out the new boat. the red highlights on the boat is BAD A** condition look rough as hell but the new boat handled it well. never used trout as bait but seen a video where someone in the uk used trout guts to make berley. looked oily as like salmon. a shame day 2 didn't go so smoothly. hope Mig gets better!
Have used an dirty old freezer burnt trout a few years ago as snapper bait. Resulted in a couple just under 20lb but it was spawning season so they pretty much were eating anything.
Awesome vid, much love. I was a little confused to see a game fishing reel Okuma Makaira gold 2 not stop the King. Even 35kg King with the right P.E braid knots locked and loaded with drag on stop, hold on to your Johnson, pump the biceps that fish going no where. Skull drag the dog in..
Yeah mate, that’s not our usual setup but that reef is plagued with sharks and can hold massive kings. Only way to successfully land one of those big kings is to drive them out at pace away from the sharks and the the 30 wide is better for that… almost paid off!
Yeah a bit of both but mainly the sharks that are prolific in that area. If you drag the fish into deeper water, often the sharks won't follow for some reason. That part worked a treat, just let down by the hook pulling.
Yeah guys use trout all the time when out off Tauranga and Whakatane. Caught alsorts of fish on it. Great for burley as well. The best is the trout with orange flesh, seems to be more oily than spent slabby trout. Brown trout is good as well but harder to get. Chicken breast is also good bait. Caught some good snapper on that.
nice vid, but..... not into the high-level sponsors and big boat, I prefer a mission with a 14 ft tinny with 30hp Tohatsu outboard, it has more atmosphere.
Yeah fair enough. This boat is primarily used for filming a TV show and the UA-cam stuff is side content for now. We're still grateful for our sponsors but there will be some more grass roots and landbased style shows coming up on here soon.
Hey mate just curious why do you guys not just wind these fish in instead of driving away put all the extra drag and extra time pulling the fish to risk losing it
@@FishingAdventureCrewso you think your boat pulling the fish away slowly is somehow faster than the shark underwater? Either you are doing it all for show or you have no idea what your on about

You said “The ol degloved my finger on the driveshaft” like its something that happens to everyone😂.
Haha, perhaps that's just a normal day in Rotorua?
Yeah bro, we use trout head/frame here in the bottom of the South Island to target big sharks/rays, they can work very well at times!!!
Awesome!

Yeah they aren't overly fussy aye, scavengers for the most part
I keep the flabby trout for bait. Tough skin for the best snapper bait and awesome on the kayak 🤙
Might have to target snapper with it next time🤙

You Guys seem like go friends to have and good fisher men
Need that tool box 😂 might have to make a FANZ branded one
Sounds like a plan bro!
Why'd you immediately shoot off after hooking up? Was it to try lose the sharks or get the fish away from the rocks?
Yeah a bit of both but mainly the sharks that are prolific in that area. If you drag the fish into deeper water, often the sharks won't follow for some reason. That part worked a treat, just let down by the hook pulling.
Chur boys tu meke 👊 the boats looking mint on the water 👌

Brown trout are better for bait, use the rainbows for berley.
Yeah cool, good to know 👍
Hey mate just curious why do you guys not just wind these fish in instead of driving away put all the extra drag and extra time pulling the fish to risk losing it
Sharks mate. Just driving away from the taxman
Holy ship 2.0
We’re actually up to number 5!
I am suprised this car can tow this boat😮
Tows it really well 👍
choice
First one!!
Stabicraft far better boats however this is still a fishing weapon
you hooked him in the side because trevally like to headbutt their food before eating it so its disoriented
Got a few big puka on trout
better
The usual 30 min vid 2 minutes of catching fish
Hard to include more fish being caught when there were no fish being caught…
The usual "content creator" "youtuber" with no content hating on everybody else 😂 great comment mate
Where’s your content?! Shhuuuush 😂🤣
caught puka on trout
Mean!
What a useless way to fish. All that driving is a joke
That reef is plagued with sharks. Sit still and you’ll only ever land half a fish.
Big sharks out there alright, they wouldnt be driving and fishing like that if they didnt need to haha dont be jelious😂
