It‘s a shame that the mk5 never get the 1.9tdi 131hp. The 105hp is a really good engine, i have the same one, chip140hp, 325.000km But, the 131hp version would be awesome in the mk5.
@@matthewellis9885 i changed the clutch at 270. The engine is still fine at 304. Haven't found a good remmaper around, which is the most important thing for a chip tuning, cause a bad one will blow your turbo in a week. That's why I probably won't tune it
@@Corsa15DT Happened to my best friend. His turbo blew in no time. Mind you he was putting his foot down all the time and really using the power fully.
@@matthewellis9885 yea, I'v seen so many cases of so called tuners blowing up turbos in no time. They are clueless amateurs. You have to find a real map from a certified tuner who knows what he is doing.
Ofcourse it pulls much better, you can gett easyly 100 n/m extra torque with diesel obd chipping. that is definitly noticeable, you don't need to shift back anymore if you want to overtake.
@@vallpapers I have made acceleration very often and for that my turbo it's broken at 276.000km Maybe you driving normal not fast, and for that you don't have problem with the turbo yet ?
@@musicsoffice I believe that the life of the turbo is influenced by how it is looked after. I always cool the engine down because of dynamic driving, I change the oil up to 9-10 k km, I often use engine rinse, which additionally cleans the entire lubrication system
Dont must have black smoke. If ur stock diesel or remapped diesel with 140hp has black smoke either somethings fucked, the mapping is very bad or you are a big idiot. My golf 5 1.9tdi has arround 200hp and 440nm and no black smoke at all.
@@adi326 it is normal that a diesel smokes in first place and it can happen that the car smokes more after remap but as I said, it can also have no smoke.

After 3 years 0 problems. 344 k km at the moment stock turbo, engine without reparis even wihout oil conaumption
