Even in America. it's not allowed religion involve the work place.
suggest search on line some employee in America got fired because he/she said “god bless you”.
The history turned point in European medieval was religion and state separated.
      religion is religion,state is state.

Just wanted to comment on the comparison of Yuyuan with Kyoto. Kyoto as a city has literally been built to be a scaled replica of the ancient Chinese capital of Chang'an, modern day Xi'an. In fact, various aspects of Japanese culture (including architecture) are heavily influenced by ancient China, specially China during the Sui, Tang, and Song dynasties. So in essence, it is Kyoto that looks Chinese, rather than the other way round. Read the origins section here for more detail: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyoto#History

Deng Xiaoping built up this prosperous China. He was one of top Chinese revolution senior politicians and he started this 40year’s human historical Chinese reform and development. When he was a student, he visited France. Once he saw such a prosperous and modern country, he made up his mind and came back to join into the Chinese revolution. May be you and your young Indian people could do the same to contribute yourselves for Indian prosperity.

Just a suggestion. If you want to see ancient China, Shanghai isn't representative. Try Beijing for 500-1000 yrs old vibes and Xi'an for 1000 to 2000. Having said that, if you happen to go to the beautiful city of Hangzhou (itself over 1000 years old) nearby Shanghai, you can visit one of the oldest organized settlements dating to 5000 years not too far away. Finally, do not miss the many water towns around the region!

you guys need to eat a more local places off tourist areas. even if you just walk 1-2 blocks off a tourist street, prices will be as much as half price. the food will also be much better because tourist area street food is not authentic nor that good. if the restaurant has a qr code at the table, you can scan it and there should be a translate option on the app. otherwise just save an image of translated text that you only eat vegetarian or chicken dishes and they can help you order. usually around temple areas there are vegetarian restaurants and buffets you can try.

Kyoto style. Lol. It ought to be the other way around by historical fact. Japan was heavily influenced by China Tang Dynasty in 600 AD. Tang was the most rich, powerful, progressive and prosperous period that its sinopheric tentacle reached far and wide. The japanese so greatly admired the great Tang that japan sent strings of entourage included monks, diplomats and scholars to visit to Chang'an (Xian today) to learn the trades, administrative system, culture and tradition, language, zen (Chan) Buddhism, cuisine, architecture, etc. Yes, architecture. Hence you see Tang era Kyoto. As people say, if you want to to see real Tang today, it is Kyoto. The reason is, Chinese went through many dynasties since Tang era. What you see today especially in Beijing is the last Qing dynasty.
