I’m listening to the conversation of you guys in English with is limited to me, but I’m trying to pay attention about next generation of the Vietnamese American may; or possibly influence to the people of Việt Nam in the future. I’m a Vietnamese southerner’s old school !. EIMSL!!!😊
I'm surprised that viet is not fluent in the Vietnamese. I find interesting that a lot of literature scholars or intellectual writers are not multilingual
He was brought here at age four so it's not super surprising to me. There's so much pressure for people to assimilate that they often don't absorb the mother tongue or are actively not taught to speak it. Some of my Viet friends don't speak it at all. 😅
