Most people do not know about how this cars is made in Japan which has its own entire production building with designers. This car is a piece of art. I have had a 911 and Mercedes AMG and now leasing a BMW M550i which I love. The 911 and GT were fast cars but they had a lot of issues. I ordered this car in Ultrasonic Blue with white Interior in coupe not convertible. Waiting for Lexus to accept the build.
I spoke with someone that just got their build delivered (ordered in Sept). Took 8 weeks for Lexus to accept the build and then another 8-12 for delivery. Good luck! This car is worth it.
GR8 review of a spectacular car! It's no secret that Yamaha partnered with Lexus to design this high revving engine and the exhaust system, giving it this truly remarkable sound.
This is the best Gt car on earth. I own a '21 convertible and absolutely love it! Forget Aston, Bentley, BMW. This car will not break down and is built solid as granite.
With prices sliding, you can buy this AND a 987 generation Boxster. Love the 911, but this combo got my attention and I couldn’t be happier with the two cars I got. 🙂
I was at an Aston Martin dealership in Palm Springs, next door to a Jaguar dealership where there was a used LC500. Hard to justify an Aston at $300k when this beautiful, reliable, and soulful car is right next door for $100k.
@jscifres100 Very true mate 👍. Aston Martin or Jaguar are beautiful cars - no doubt. However if you know about reliability & cost of service / repairs, a Toyota/Lexus wins hands down against *any* manufacturer. And, may i mention, it looks sick as f$ck !!!
Great review. You're right, that sound is "what perfection sounds like". I'm lucky enough to have this car, same colour etc, 2021. Fantastic car, looks incredible, sounds fantastic, easy to own and it's a Lexus, super reliable and relatively easy to maintain etc. Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it (sadly, not often enough), especially with the roof down! 🤩🤩🤩
@@mhmdd if I got the money to buy one I will definitely buy the before facelift model I want that continues beautiful line and glass not an iPad stuck on my dash 😂
I feel like Lexus engineers just wanted to give a big middle finger to the automotive “journalists” who ripped the old infotainment system without mentioning the excellent voice control or Climate Concierge features. Yes, a touch screen is probably better, but in 20 years, when all the tech is outdated, and you only want to drive the car for the glorious sounds, which will you prefer? The beautiful interior, or the one with the wart?
The sound is incredible, it's so good, when I first saw it, I absolutely forgot about German cars existing, it's so much in it's own class, the car looks absolutely stunning, and with this improved infotainment it's definitely next on my list....
I have driven a LOT of cars, but I have never driven anything like the V8 LC500. I bought one... $2000 a month car payments don't even matter. This car is AMAZING!
The Michelin or Bridgestone is a luck of the draw thing. If you look at the current wheels vs an earlier year, I believe the wheel is physically the same, the finish is different. The rubber is not actually so low profile. I have had my 21 vert since November 20 with no issues. It has been a blast to own.
When I worked for Ford when we had Falcon we’d sometimes get a similar note in the the vehicle saying they had used it for testing and sorry about the extra kms. It was cool
I like that they improved the tech, made the infotainment much more usable. The 360 camera is quite useful for the size of this car. That said, that stuck up screen and removal of the back-lit acrylic piece ruin the cohesiveness and special touch of that masterpiece of an interior. Was thinking of trade in for the gorgrous new blue white interior, now I think I will probably hold on to my 2021 MY. It's a shame manufacturers can't custom build the "perfect spec" 😂.
Do love that, yes - but if i paid a quarter of a million bux for a car and it had had extra "testing" at the factory they'd be taking it back and giving me a new one. Perfect car to put on as a demonstrator tho. :)
I own a SC 430 and I am very happy with it. I have owned well over 30 cars and the Lexus is just about the best, it is a luxury cruiser, not a bruiser, and you can drive it all day and not be fatigued.
I liked the tract pad I had one in my CT and my current NX. I don’t like oily finger prints on my screen. And nowadays everyone has touch screens in their cars and it just doesn’t feel luxurious anymore just kinda gimmicky. But hey it’s just my preference.😅
No you can't. I've been looking for them for a bit. In 2020 during the height of the COVID lockdown and before people started appreciating these (when everyone was still trashing it as not a proper M3 sports car competitor instead of accepting it as a GT), you could find them for right around $60K at the lowest. They've gone up since then like every other car and I've even looked again in the past week, and the cheapest I've found was in the $60sK range for higher mileage first edition ones.
The Australian price after import duty and GST (sales taxes) converts to 160k USD, offered as a point of reference for the 90%+ of the world that has no notion of the exchange rates of the Aussie dollar. He's not trying to give the American price. Americans (I am one) generally don't know that basically every other place on earth quotes *prices with tax* at the grocery store, auto dealer, wherever. I think that's better than the American system.
Most people are excited about the new TOUCH SCREEN. Notice in the video how the presenter has to LOOK at the screen. Now, think about traveling along at 130 feet per second and you're looking at the screen for three seconds...which means you're not looking at the road. You've traveled well more than the length of a football field. How is THIS any different than TEXTING using your phone? Why do you think many places have laws against TEXTING? The concept of driving a car is essentially getting from Point A. to Point B. safely WITHOUT GETTING DEAD. The old infotainment as well as the TOUCH SCREEN allows you to use VOICE COMMAND so you can keep your eyes on the road. Don't be lazy. Learn the 20 or so VOICE COMMANDS that you'll use day to day. Knowing that we have no shortage of idiots who know it all, those people are saying "it can't happen to me". Those same people who are brought into the ER said the same thing. Be smart. Keep your eyes on the road at all times while driving.

maybe not 10 seconds... lol
0-60mph in 4.6 actually
Yup. 200hp, cheaper to insure, done deal.

Good thing it does it in sub 5 second
This is how way back in 2005-7 the Audi R/S sport sounded. Absolutely beautiful. ❤❤The Lexus sounds just as amazing.❤❤
Man that V8 sounds unbelievably epic !!!, this car is definitely a future classic !!, great review as well.
Dream car.
It's exclusive, rare, looks gorgeous, is comfy, luxurious and has the best motor sound (imho better than the LFA)

Watching old reviews of this car, you can tell Lexus listened to every one of them and made the changes.😮
Kinda miss the traditional clock. tho.

"I need Jacob.
" Goddamn you Jacob!!"
I felt that.
It's so hard seeing them apart.
What a magnificent piece of machinery!!
Plenty of storage in this. You’ll find it behind your front seats. Nobody will travel behind you so just use the space as storage
Exactly! That's the value of a 2+2 and why I love my Jaguar XKR.
Black doesn't do the interior justice
Tottaly agree. I would forbid this color for interrior in this car. Baige or white are colors to go.
So true
100%. I love the toasted caramel interior

In the day, Road and Track ran 0 to 60 mph in 6 seconds flat and 14.5 for the standing quarter mile in the SC430.
Beautiful man. Beautiful car. ❤
I entertained the idea LC550H for a bit.......then I heard the symphony that is the V8 in THE CHEAPER BASE MODEL
❤ LEXUS LC 🥰
Think the “C” means coupe not convertible. In the US you can get the car with a hardtop.
Man you're hilarious, and I love it!!!
The backseat is not for passengers - it's for your speargun when you go fishing...
Now if Lexus could make those updates and put the exhaust and transmission from this on the IS 500 f.
Here in the states we usually do 0 to 60 so 2.99 0-60 pretty good 👍🏼
Here in Australia we measure in km an hour, 62mph is about 100 kmh
those new wheels are absolutely atrocious, if I were ever able to afford one of these I would definitely go for the pre-facelift to avoid them.
For US$40 more, I ordered upgraded wheels which I think look really nice! 2024 LC 500 Coupe with dynamic handling package.
