Some extremely basic middle school math for Vineeta:
1% Royalty on 420 crore ARR is 4.2 Crores
A 15% Interest rate on a 2 Crore loan = 0.9 Crore interest on a 5 year repayment.
HOW TF WAS ROYALTY BETTER THAN A LOAN? You are free to demand whatever offer you want but atleast dont blatently lie and ontop of that shame the founder to get a deal.
You basically put in 2 crores and got back 3 crores + 1% equity ~8+ Crores. LEECHES

Here anupam is asking the pitchers whether they are business minded or not.. Frankly speaking, anupam is just concerned about whether he can make 2x or not on his investment... Pitchers should have put forward this thought that you can surely trust on us and take equity well make 2x and will give u a good exit.. Pitchers got nervous and took pressure. They could have managed the deal better without royalty..

Great entrepreneurs but unprepared. They had scale, profit and everything but they were very bad with their numbers. Sharks already knew it's a highly investible business and will scale on a massive level but that confusion going on with numbers in entrepreneurs' mind gave them an opportunity to grab a good hold on the deal.
