That’s me on my bike at 17:52. Yes that’s right, I made it into a Philly Captain video. They said I wouldn’t amount to anything but look at me now 😂
Congratulations!

😂😂😂
Star!
you are now a superstar!
Sculptures are carved from natural materials like stone, marble and so on. Statues are cast from a mold from different materials, but mostly metals.
You should write some book reports! 😂
@@whodizzlefoshizzle My book report days are long over at 61 years old... but I did pay attention in school. Captain DID ask what the difference was between a sculpture and a statue...I answered.
I know I know, forgive me, I was just messing around! 😆
More long scoots please this is gold
Here we are!!!@

That bridge has to be a ton easier to walk across than the Ben Franklin, Captain.
Great job. It is like returning to Philly for me.

You are doing a great job of showing the city and finding the little know sites. Thank you! ps get a spare battery.
The main difference between a sculpture and a statue is in their usage and purpose. Sculpture is a broad term that encompasses any three-dimensional artwork created by shaping or combining materials. A statue, on the other hand, specifically refers to a sculpture of a person, animal, or object, typically created as a monument or for display in a public space. So, all statues are sculptures, but not all sculptures are statues.
Today's To Do List: Book a tandem Skydiving lesson (the beginners harnessed to the front of the instructor) for The Philly Captain...right after I sign-up for High Energy Sean's 'How to be an Auctioneer' course...
As an expat Philadelphian I never cared for University City. Like everyone in my neighborhood we all called it Disneyland on the Schuylkill. My memories are of being hassled by the Disney (campus)cops..The universities had an attitude with us locals so we would go on missions graffing their ugly campuses. Of the universities UofP and Drexel were the worst! If you had seen Powelton Village before 1970,it looked like the garden district of New Orleans, and not the garbage there is now.

Wow ... we are really overdoing the Rocky thing.
For years economist talked about how the future of Philly's economy would be Eds and Meds. By that they mean big educational institutions as well as big medical institutions. That certainly is true to a degree with the University City area having 12% of all city jobs.
But ... I think that they are overlooking the tourism and hospitality industry in Philly. This area was ramping up big time before covid hit. This would include things like tourism, hotels, museums, sporting events, casinos, concerts, retaurants and so on. To me this is an area of signficant potential job growth for the city. No doubt Philly is certainly in the top 10 in the US in this industry. We just had Wrestlemania and the World Series here. The next World Cup will also be here.
Build it and they will come right? Parx Casino is now the #1 casino on the east coast when it comes to revenue... thanks to Philly ...
And here we aren't, thank you Lizzo ,now if only she'd fade into obscurity lol
It’s way better to have the protesters at the school instead of blocking traffic in the streets.
