There was never anything wrong with the cards they just needed a driver update. Alot of people have made complete fools of themselves by jumping on the bandwagon
Hey man i changed my pre ordered asus tuf for this card an wow, the card runs great 2150mhz in modern warfare at 70c an firestorm v3.0.0018e works with no issues, only issue i did have was the rgb went off after my pc 1st restart after i installed card an firestorm but just uninstall app an reinstalled fixed it for me, So glad im not waiting another month for a card that works virtually the same as every other 3080 card, Dont listen to some of these tech tubers, they talk alot of BS as they really influence you to certain brands only
try locked frequency via MSI afterburner @ Frequency Curve , press L to lock , for example 2000mhz locked , than 2050mhz than 2100mhz the spikes you see with 2130mhz is not really a test .
@@rucka704 mine flickers, I contacted Zotac support anyone having issues is able to fix it by setting default in firestorm, but mine is looking like it's just defective.
the new drivers made my card have worse performance, so I flashed a new bios on it and pushed the power limit higher. and it felt like a completely different card. problem solved. night and day difference. I recommend anyone using an rtz 3090 to flash a new bios on it from another card. I used Galax bios. but be careful when you flash to make sure you have a bios that will work with your card. not all rtx 3090 bios is compatible with your rtx 3090. for the zotac their are like at least 3 confirmed bios that will work and not brick your card. I saved my old bios so I can put it back to default when I want to return it for the RTX 4000 series. I know I won't be going with a zotac for that though. Not after my experience with zotac.
@@SpareParts86 Hmm, mine LED's have only been fully dark before updating. Might actually be an hardware level issue then. I know this sounds dumb but is it possible that you have simply some kind of LED animation going on?
how long have you used it for until the RGB started dying? (just curious) also i think zotac's skimped out on the parts to an extent which made it have hardware issues (from what i've heard anyway). im currently waiting for my zotac purchase to be shipped and arrived (on a queue list D:)

I've got a 850 watt platinum power supply and Asus Hero X570 motherboard so power delivery overall may be more reliable. Make sure you have the newest drivers as well the September 28th driver fixed most of the issues, I have another video with it locked over 2ghz for 4 mins and it ran fine.
@@SpareParts86 Ok interesting, I have the Tuf Gaming X570 and a Corsair 750 80+G PSU. Also not daisy chaining etc. Still havent been able to get there yet, appreciate the reply.
I have an open air case but it's on the floor on the other side of my desk, as my desk is in the middle of the room so I don't really hear it, but it is a loud card, compatible to a blower cooler card.
I set a locked overclock at 90 on the core, ran Shadow of the Tomb Raider and it held 2ghz+ the whole benchmark in the game with DLSS and RTX on so I should look into getting some benchmark software that I can loop for a longer period of time, just to make sure it's stable, but it's doing much better with the newer sep 28th driver than before.

Not sure why everyone want to overclock it. It is a damn good card at stock, how the hell would 4-5 FPS make any difference over 160.... nonsense.
cheers for doing this mate, im waiting on my zotac one and all the videos was making me worried lol.

Great video ....there is not that much videos of this card. Mine is in the way. Thanx!
I have the zotac 3080 trinity too and it works fine even at 2ghz+. I'm fairly positive it's just the drivers that were crashing the games.
Does your RGB work?

Updating firestorm will fix LED issues
Thanks, I checked before for updates, looks to be working now with the new version.
Spoke too soon, it's still flickering.... :(

I just got this card but the power limit is only 100% I can’t increase it anymore. Is there a way to increase it?

no way to bring em back to life

Prior to the recent hit topic, I’ve only ever seen those tiny mil-caps in Radeon cards, not Nvidia 😂
Thats probably with the new drivers from Nvidia.
Am I right?
It is, but I was also able to push it as far as some founders Nvidia cards.
my power limit is stuck at 100 cant bump it up
my card hits over 2ghz in some games
runs pretty toasty at 70-75 degrees
What kind of case do you have it in? I've got an open air case and I haven't touched the fan curve.
Thanks. Are you please with the card? I Do not plan to oc, Will I have issues?
The RGB is flickering on it, I am not pleased with that, the performance is fine.
@Boss Man Kev they work just fine overclocked now after the latest driver update, I think gigabyte and Nvidia released a statement today about it too.
