My grandpas tool trailer was broken into yesterday by some people. They took anything cordless. It totaled to around $4,200 in dewalt cordless tools. This has only happened to him four times in 40 some years doing framing and exterior trim on new houses in Ohio. The kicker is that it hasn’t happened in 15 years. I’m only fifteen and working for him while schools out but I wish I could find the people that did it. Love the commitment man. Don’t stop for no one.

Unfortunately around 15yrs ago we had a shop chop meth ring do this all over Southern Ohio, they had the parts sold off, etc. We just had to deal with a trailer theft ring last year. Maybe around a hundred trailers, was bad till someone drove a dump truck into the ring leaders office.

a lot of fire fighters are volunteers so imagine volunteering your free time to save lives and get a call that some retard started a fire in a field, then while you're working that same person comes up to you with cameras filming you. Now I'm not saying Cody is a retard but it's probably the way the guy seen it. Plus, you don't know what's going on in other people's personal lives so don't judge them off one single encounter. We all have bad days where we say or do shit maybe we shouldn't have.
I second that. Our neighbors barn caught on fire. My son and myself made sure everybody was accounted for and helped evacuate their pets. When the first guy showed up alone with the first engine we asked if he needed a hand with the hoses, he replied no, the other guys will be here soon. I then asked you want me to pull their cars a safe distance away? He snarkly replied you’ve been watching too many TV shows, they wont explode. I told him I just thought I would save them. In the end they lost a total of 5 outbuildings and a detached garage Plus every vehicle they owned! They only were able to save the house. Yes, I could have saved at least 4 of their cars and trucks if I just did it and ignored his ignorant arse. I have seen too many farm fires to not know how hot those barns get. Everything near them goes up too. In this particular, the farm 1/4 mile away was in danger from the airborne cinders in the wind landing on their property.

In 2007 I was working for a large National equipment rental company in Chicago and I specifically remember that there was a theft ring specifically targeting skid loaders, we had units stolen from our yard after they drove through the gate. Two of the units were lojacked and traced to a large warehouse in Gary Indiana where they were being loaded into shipping containers being sent to Eastern Europe. Plymouth is close to Gary.
So should people be checking EU auctions too?? Or would it have been painted and VIN changed, etc? Or do they just sell, undocumented, on black market?

A car, motorbike, boat or bicycle, they all cause that massive feeling of loss and frustration for years afterwards especially knowing the chance of getting justice are near zero. Cody puts so much time and effort into finding his dads skid loader that was stolen when Cody was just 7! Most people give up but this man right here won’t give up and that’s the type of positivity needed for this generation. May you hopefully find your dads skid loader.
Hey, Retired Detective here (oddly enough from another state’s Marshall County Sheriff’s Office), I think you’re fishing in an empty pond. Stealing farming equipment is big business and they seldom stay in the area that they are stolen from. Mostly due to the tight-net farming community that are always looking out for each other. I think to find this, if you haven’t already, don’t focus on the type of people that would buy a off-the-books skid loader. Whoever owes this at this point probably has no idea that it is stolen. It’s important to let people know that the mere possession of a stolen item is not a crime, there has to be intent or knowledge of the fact that it’s stolen to meet the statue to get charged a crime. Innocent people accidentally purchase stolen property all the time. I would also check with insurance companies who might have this VIN in their records as a current or formerly insured item. Also posting bill boards at Indiana’s state lines might be helpful as well, instead of just the intersection it was stolen from. I have a lot more suggestions, but I don’t want to leave an essay in the comment section. If anyone needs more advice in this matter just let me know, happy to help. Oh, and For the record, the volunteer firemen where absolute idiots and as a former first responder it’s very embarrassing to see those idiots act in such a disrespectful manner. Very shameful, very unprofessional.
Have you ever heard of equipment being taken out of the country? Like Canada or Mexico? I went on a cruise to Belize once and a local guy told us that a lot of cars stolen in America wind up down there. Could be the same for equipment.
@@wagoneer9311 I’ve never worked a case where that was the known destination but it’s certainly is possible. I’ve recovered a lot of stolen farming equipment over the years, I’ve worked many cases where it’s been taken across state lines, but that’s not saying much because I’m within 100 miles of 4 other states. But I don’t recall farming equipment going out of country in any of my cases or any of the cases of other detectives around me.
@Karl with a K Karl, how do you know the vin plates were swapped after it was stolen? Do you have information that I don’t about this case? Or are you just speculating? Vehicles and equipment that are recovered with the original identification number on still on it happen FAR more often than not. Also, if the identification number is stamped into the metal, regardless if it’s been ground away or sand blasted, we can still recover the original VIN by chemical use. AND, even if it was given a fake VIN, that fake VIN could very easily been logged by a future owner with their insurance company (unknowning) or as part of their business inventory or for tax information. Which is also searchable. Not all insurance companies run the vin they get through a decoder program to see if it’s legitimate, so it’s very common for them to accept what ever identification number that is given to them. But if an insurance company were to report a false VIN to us, then we would seize the machine as evidence and start to dig deeper to try to recover the original VIN and then run it through NCIC to see if it came back as stolen. We would run that information agains local auto parts stores and service centers as well as online. Also, if the victim has photos of their stolen item, we can look for unique markings, scratches, dents, personal modifications, etc. on the stolen item and write that information on our 1029 stolen property form and enter that information into NCIC as well, which would now make that information searchable in the database as well in NCIC, which is nation wide. So to sum up, even if this theft was the cause of some big theft ring who went through all the trouble of giving it a new identity, with enough information, it’s still very findable given the right circumstances. Karl I did this job for close to 20 years, you have no idea what my case load history entails, you’re speaking out of your ass by stating a bunch of hypotheticals as facts, and making assumptions about my career and the success I had. I have no reason to try to impress you with my pedigree, nor do I think you’d care, but I assure, I know what I’m talking about. You should stay in you lane on this one. From my angle you should see just how dumb your message made you look. But above and beyond that, still what’s important to me is that this kid gets his dads stolen property back for him. I don’t care about the money, but if someone thinks their close and needs my help, including you, they can just reach out to me for so free advice or help with their next move. This comes from someone who has many many years and 1000’s up 1000’s of hours of law enforcement training, especially in felonious crime. Hard to have gotten all of that having only spend, what did you ….oh yeah, “5 minutes” as a detective. Let’s all work together get this kid his dads stuff back.
@John Gallagher lol, I’m sure there’s a history between them. And everyone in Plymouth knows of him. But in my opinion, he’s not a bad kid, just very stubborn and likes to have fun. My uncle lives about 25 miles from where he made most of his videos in Plymouth and I’m fairly familiar with that area (my uncle has a big farm in Valpo). At the very least we go to a awesome Golf Resort in Plymouth every year and also try to play at least one round at the course at Notre Dame University. He’s very well known around north and some in northwestern Indiana. I just hope the person who stole this just didn’t take it for a joy ride and drive it into a lake when he was finished with. That’s probably a great place to look as well.

"The way people treat you, is a direct reflection of themselves." Well handled. As far as, the skid steer, maybe hiring people to take all of the leads might be a good thing. @@terrytwo it might be found. It's not impossible. Esspecially if someone who can afford a 500k reward actually can give the reward. If you can catch a heavy equipment theif, that's a lot of money saved. Heavy equipment is very precious resource. When a tractor goes missing it's likely more money than most bank robbers probably get. People rob gas stations and hardly get any money. Roll a tractor onto a trailer and boom Its gone. I think the tractor has been close by for years tbh. It's hard to drive a stolen tractor clear up to Michigan although also not impossible. Unless it was parted and destroyed, tractors last a long time so some farmer could have it in his barn or something for all those years. If someone stole it and locked it in a barn for years and then dies and someone finds it suddenly, it could be a valuable tractor. It could have been scrapped years ago, parted out immediately after being stolen. People don't just drive tractors on the streets unless they have to do you probably won't see it there. Its a long lasting vehicle so if it wasn't parted out it could still be out there working and working like it will for the next 30 years. It's an older tractor which makes it sought after these days. It's not a 2022. With a tracking device. There's lots of tractors out there. It very well could be out there, it's a tractor. They usually last a long time. It's just as likely to still be out there as it is to have been parted out years ago.

Even if it is disassembled, scrapped, buried, shredded, or melted down, the money might make the weak link talk. Somebody knows something, and you have to reach that someone obviously. Probably out of state. If you could get your Dad on video to confirm, and talk a minute about the skid steer heist, I think it would make for an epic video.
Detective material in this above comment. Hire this man!

Stole from me post, 2 years ago now i think 🤔 caught my eye. Dad's stolen skidsteer, hooked me like a fish!😂😂
Subscribed! Fallen down the Whistlin diesel you tube hole!👏🤭
Sad to see in these rural communities, where people are KNOWN to come together in hard times, and still there are Bad Apples trying to infect the orchard 😢
Good on you standing up for yourself! Showing Justice mixing in compassion and kindness!👏😊
I was so glad I was able to make it and get a picture . Really wanted to ask for a hug but was too shy and didn’t wanna hold up the line lol . Hopefully you can do something like this again in the same area , drove 5 hours from Wisconsin to see you & it was 110% worth it just to get a picture ❤️
Hey ignore that spam comment. Those are scammers. Glad you got to meet up with him. He's my neighbor now, see him out and about sometimes.
@@jbnnm657 oh trust me I ignore them lol
I flew from Belgrade to see him and didn't even get a pic 😤
@@TheSuperBoyProject I ran into the front and had a full blown panic attack and couldn’t breath to get to the front , after I got that pic I tried to stay out of the circle cause I had a full blown panic attack and it was scary
This needs to end with Samuel L. Jackson asking someone “What does WhistlinDiesel LOOK LIKE?”
Lol imagine thinking you'll fool Tay Zonday with an old internet trick, he's been here long before your telegram scams
@@Onewheelordeal LOL I thought the exact same thing. “What does Tay Zonday LOOK LIKE?”
yo what, internet legend just casually in the comments?
Like a little whiny bitch.
Umm is this actually THE chocolate rain guy?! 😂
Also I think it was beyond awesome that you literally took a picture with everyone else who wanted one. There was one little girl who got tired of sitting on her dad's shoulders and asked to leave before getting to you which sucked but it's awesome to have guys still valuing their fans
2 years later, the giant truck trailer is still there with the advertisement
Dude I’m 38 now and I grind everyday like a lot of people watching to support my family but you are totally living exactly how I would if I had the income not to have an obligations all day to anyone but myself. I’d be eating cereal on a tail gate at Walmart. Love ❤️
You should go to Walmart on your next day off and eat a big Ole bowl of cereal!
@@CoachBaileyCooper I should!
I dont get what you are saying...
You mean your are doing what people do when they have $?
When youre broke you do nothing?
It's funny how they put $50,000 Rewards for kidnappers robbers or murderers but this guy is looking for his dad's skit loader and giving a half a million dollar reward that's crazy I love this dude
I wonder if someone can be convicted after the statue of limitations runs out on a crime?
WOW! The quality of your videos has grown exponentially. The actual content has exceeded all expectations. I am here for it.
Dude, I have to remember to never watch you guys before bed. I was laughing so hard. 😂Nap time was over for at least another 30 minutes. I would say good luck but…. Anyway give ‘em hell!
Bro the absolute dedication you guys show is truly insane. Not just with finding your skid loader, but producing quality content as well. I really appreciate that kind of commitment.
I cant forget this intro, sickest intro on youtube hands down! Always coming back to watch it over again!
As if I wasn't already proud to be a Bones fan, then this dude comes along and makes me proud to be a Bones fan and an Indiana native
Hey Whistlindeisel I have been a fan for quite awhile, love your content! Your character is, & has been an inspiration to us all.. I have lost almost every over the last few years & the little I have left, is going missing. I am usually one to just let it be, quick to forgive & just let everyone walk all over me.. I have never let the bad sour my outlook or disposition on life, always being the better person at any cost. Trying to learn to take care of myself & not just everyone around me, so I guess I am on the hunt for thieves as well 😅.. I was hoping you or anyone else reading have some tips, tricks, product suggestions, or anything else that might help me with this endeavor.. I could use all the help I can get! Thanks in advance 💜 & hello from Canada
Love how much Cody cares about his family he’s literally pouring half a million into getting justice for his dad
@Bully Maguire 🅥 didn't we just watch the full video?
@@51-FS it’s a scam
Cody ,been out of the loop . You had me rolling . It was good seeing you back at where it all began. I'm like you when comes to messing with me or my family, maybe worst ...good luck and finding them ...I hope it comes about . Take care and be safe Cody ...
You should make a website where people can compile info and chat about this wonderful investigation.
Is it going to be a community payout then? That will lead to nothing but problems when it comes time for money to be discussed. "Collaborative effort" Im sure will be mentioned quite a bit.
