    Some of this is very good, and nice illustrations! Looked it up to hear some of the music from different eras, and I'm not disappointed after watching this video. Of course we can't expect the whole music history from a 20 minute video - that'd be silly and impossible. Thanks :)

    Wow thanks for all the comment... To be honest, I did this for a 10th grade project 😂 so please only reference this as a very general "introduction" rather than informative...

    Thank you, thank you so much! I was so confused between Classical , Baroque, and Romantic music! Now is all makes sense! Thank you! If it isn't too much, could you do videos on the history of music on other continents, too..?

      +Qingyang Wang Unfortunately, that probably won't happen :( I only did this animation for a school project two years ago... I no longer have time for doing these animation. Thank you for your appreciation though!

    Mozart did not write Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, it was already popular. He composed variations on it.

    Hello, you did a very good job with this video. Nice illustrations and technique: how did you do it? and how long did it took? looks like a long process (you should be proud) :)

    • @fionahuang2113
      @fionahuang2113  7 років тому +1

      Serenaif awwww thanks! So sweet of you to say! I did it in a very stupid way (definitely not recommended). I used a basic tablet and photoshop CS3. It took me quite a long time (I did it for a project back in high school)... if you are using photoshop to create animation, the newest version now has a function called "onion skin" to help you with animation process, and you can find many tutorials online. Otherwise, there are many more better animation softwares out there, but I am no expert 😂

    I'm very sorry, but why don't you talk about the reform in opera by Rossini, Wagner, Verdi and Puccini? Or why don't you talk about Handel? There are many details you don't talk about them.

    Some info were inaccurate... And the ending bothered me... Impressionist music didn't lead to our Pop music of today... You didn't include Serialism, Neo-classicism, Nationalism, Modernism, Minimalism.. All very important in crafting Western Art music.

    Ok, it's difficult to say what romanticism exactly is (or was), but are you sure that Beethoven is to be classified as romantic?

    • @fionahuang2113
      @fionahuang2113  7 років тому

      He sort of started it, so in some sense, he would be crossing two different styles. His later works are definitely romantic, I would say

    • @cameronwehn7845
      @cameronwehn7845 7 років тому

      Fiona Huang Beethoven was definitely classical and I would disagree and say all of his works were also but he did influence other romantic composers. Also why nothing about Brahms or Liszt?
