    I'm so excited to customize my factory blythe dolls eyelids with pretty paint and also give them sleepy eyes and add beads to strings. You did an amazing job and I love your step-by-step instructions which is so easy to follow. Thanks so that 🥰. Question, when you lay her down do her eyes close by themselves and open by themselves when lifting her up or do you have to use string to make the eyes stay closed? Thanks 👍 😊

    • @TammyPowley
      @TammyPowley  Рік тому +3

      Have fun! The string moves the eyes, so they do not naturally close by themselves when the dolls are horizontal. I'm glad you found my video helpful.

    Can you please let me know exactly what the blue cord is called so I can order it online? Oh with the screwdriver, is there a certain size I need to look for to take the screws out ecr? And finally can you tell me exactly what type of mod podge you used unless you can send a link? Thanks ❤️

    • @TammyPowley
      @TammyPowley  Рік тому +2

      It's waxed linen cord. I don't know what size screw driver. I have a set of small ones, and use one of those. I got the modge podge at Michael's craft store, gloss-luster.

    i did everything you did but im having issues with the eye mechanism, the t-bar is kinda like slightly bend up in the little white part and the eyes dont switch

    • @TammyPowley
      @TammyPowley  5 місяців тому +1

      The t-bar is really important. It has to be placed exactly right :( If you t-bar is bent, then I suggest trying to use one that is not bent.

    Wondering if the cording can be shorter than 12 inches. New to customizing.

    • @TammyPowley
      @TammyPowley  Рік тому +3

      Sometimes I mess up with the beads and have to trim off some of the cording, so I feel it's best to start with a generous amount. Also, if it's too short, when you pull on the cord, the beads can push up against the back plate and stop the mechanism inside from turning.

    I stated to my by self my blythe but I need help on the sanding part. I think I might have ruined her. Would you be able to help me with that ?

    • @Aracelisminicositas
      @Aracelisminicositas Рік тому +1

      Probably should note I was inpatient and decided to do it while not taking her apart.

    • @TammyPowley
      @TammyPowley  Рік тому +2

      Typically, sanding is done because you want to change their faceups and/or matte the face. If that is the case, then you really have to take it apart because the bits of plastic from sanding could damage the eye mechanism inside the doll's head.

    • @Aracelisminicositas
      @Aracelisminicositas Рік тому

      I didn’t really sand the whole face when I had started mostly tried to removed the lip color. But I have taken her apart and have started the sanding process she was already Matte on the face but don’t see a lot of video with working on Matte face blythe dolls .

    If my eyes are not clicking, what could be wrong?

    • @TammyPowley
      @TammyPowley  11 місяців тому +2

      Check the T-bar is placed correctly. Also, if you cut down the t-bar it could have been cut too much. Also, check to see if the eye chips are too thick and are not flush with the eye mechanism.
