Beautiful episode , very nice RC Cola Pickups and detail about them , wonderful interview with Eddie Wall ,thank you for sharing with us 👌👌👍👍🙏🙏like done
Great RC Cola can collection. Great Mr Watt again. I find it fascinating how humble he is about everything plus pitching against Mantle. Not many people had that experience and those that did, there are not to many around anymore.
Love the Watt cards in the background. Also the Munson and Tiant cans are really cool. That is one heck of a stat against Mantle! Always enjoy Drew and thanks for sharing with us.
Nice pickups, always find it so cool how many different items other than cards and baseballs that can be collected with players on it! Enjoyed the clip from the interview! Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
Nice pick-ups, Drew! R.I.P Luis Tiant 💚 I've been meaning to check out this interview! FANTASTIC job, Card Farmer!!! Eddie Watt is SUPER COOL! Incredible stories about him facing Mantle...WOW! Thanks for sharing, Drew
On 8x10s and top loaders when there is a sharpee smudge or anything that I want to remove, I spray some cheap cologne on a paper tower and it comes right off. Rubbing alcohol should work too. Havn't tried to take them off of cans before, but it may be worth trying out on modern cans and then possibly trying them on these sweet RC cans.
Eddie is great! To tie in Tiant and Munson, on July 28, 1979, I went to see the Yankees play the Brewers in County Stadium. Looking forward to seeing Reggie, Munson, Yount etc. Luis Tiant was the starting pitcher for the Yankees, saw Reggie take some big swings, but Thurman Munson didn't play. Jerry Narron was the catcher and Sixto Lezcano was the star of the game with 3 doubles and 3 RBI's. The following Wednesday, August 1, 1979, Thurman died.
I believe Tiant should be in. One of the reasons he was great actually explains his high walk count in 1969. He was dealing with an injury that year that almost ended his career. He ended up altering the way he pitched to deal with it instead of retiring and went on to have his best seasons after that with the Red Sox. Just an old time tough dude…and a great pitcher. Nice to hear Mr. Watt talk about that first game at Fenway. What a way to begin a career!
Hello Drew, great Mr Eddie Watt interview clip. 0-13 and 7 strikeouts versus Mickey Mantle as a pitcher, WOW ! VERY IMPRESSIVE ! Pretty cool cola cans pickups. Thanks you for sharing and "Keep growing your collection cards farmers"...😀. Time to record this quote to the copyrights and put this quote on some merchandising...😁.
Hi Drew! The RC cans are so great. I see a lot of people get them signed and they look pretty solid with ink as well. It’s too bad they wrote the price on the bottom. Always enjoy your talks with Eddie Watt. Take care Drew. Hope you have a great rest of the week.
I remember those RC cans, cool that you got those two at a reasonable price and they’re factory fresh! A friend on mine- “Mookie Chillson”, I imagine that sounds odd to those listening outside of our collecting community- lol. Thanks for sharing and Good Collecting 👍❤️
Those RC cans are great. I wish they would do those random promos like that now. Pop cans, cereal boxes, beef jerky, wonder bread, you name it. It would give me another excuse to eat other than just being hungry all the time !!
Don't forget to recycle those cans when you're through. Watts seems like an extra sharp guy even at 83. He still looks very similar to his playing day picture on baseball reference. Good for him!
Nice portion of the interview. I like the cans, but I don't collect them. For some reason, I am like it takes up to much room, yet I have bigger bobble heads. Go figure.
New sub here. Came over from Adam's livestream. I'm not sure which was the coolest part of that. The player cans in such good shape or the fact that it's RC Cola lol. Fantastic interview clip.
Oh Drew, the second best catcher of his era and you can't get behind him for HOF? I guess my first question would be, do you think Buster Posey shoud go in? If so, I have some stats for you to compare. Great clip from the Eddie Watt interview!
No, I would not vote for Buster Posey for the HOF. I would consider Bill Freehan before I would Munson. I think he was a better catcher. Do you have Munson behind Freehan? I would put Munson behind the following catchers in the 70s (in no certain order): Freehan, Bench, Simmons, Fisk, and Gary Carter. Heck even Gene Tenance is worth some discussion. Thanks Mike. I always appreciate a little banter. It is good for the soul. lol
@@CleanCheapShots No, by stats and by the eye test, Freehan was in no way better than Munson either on offense or defense. I love Tenace, but he's not in the same league either. Munson threw out a better percentage than either of those guys and was much better than the league average also. Batting average speaks for itself and when you add his post season...well. At this point, none of those guys are probably going to get in, and that's a real shame because I wouldn't mind Freehan or Tenace getting in, just not before Munson.
@@mikethesportshistorycollec1947 If those were the only 3 to choose from, I would pick Freehan, Munson, then Tenace. Not by his own doing, Munson just didn't have the overall numbers for me. I am guessing he would have gotten there had tragedy not struck. 11 All-Stars for Freehand is pretty darn good for a catcher.
Drew! I have a collection of the RC cans as well. They are so cool. Do you have any that still have the soda in them? I know you like chewing that old gum, would you be willing to drink some old soda pop? 😂. Take care, Card Farmer 🌽
I am a Yankees fan and just unsubscribed. How can you say Munson shouldn’t be in the Hall? Just kidding. Cool RC cans. Imagine facing Mickey Mantle?! So cool.
@@The_Cincinnati_Kid It's not exactly cheap like you would think. I got lucky and found it at a swap meet. I would get it now before he gets in the HOF which I think could happen this next round.
@ very true and sound advice. I will look for his RC in Chicago later this month at the big show there. Usually I’m not a fan of duel player RC’s. For TJ, I would make the exception. Bench too. I need to get his RC soon.
Hey Drew, Thanks for sharing your collection additions and for the interview clip of Mr. Watt. He is pleasant to listen to.
He has some great stories. Thanks for taking the time to check it out.

Great RC Cola can collection. Great Mr Watt again. I find it fascinating how humble he is about everything plus pitching against Mantle. Not many people had that experience and those that did, there are not to many around anymore.
Very true. Most of these guys are fading away. Thanks for stopping by.
Nice El Tiante RC can! He’s on the eras committee ballot right now! I hope they put him in!
I could listen to Mr Watt talk about baseball all day!
Thanks Jim. I think Tiant gets in but sad that he is not hear to enjoy that induction.
Yes same with Dick Allen, I think he will get in too!
@@PickerJimS I agree.
Gave a video like. Nice RC Cola cans, Drew. Fun hearing a portion of your time with Eddie Watt. Thanks for sharing
Thank you very much for your time and stopping by.
Those cans are in great condition. Awesome interview!
Thank you kindly.

Super fun Drew! It’s fun to see you on the set again with Mr Watt…‘it’s Eddy’😁😁 Good stuff sir!!!
He and I argue whether I should call him Mr. Watt or not. lol Thanks for popping in.
I have a couple of those RC cans as well. They are fun to collect and cheap. Great video, Drew.
I had some as a kid, but I am not sure what I did with them. I need to find those. Thanks.
I really enjoy seeing pieces of history like those RC colas. Great questions, Drew! Amazing stat to never allow Mantle a hit!
I doubt many can say that Mantle never got a hit off of them. Thanks for popping in.

Hey Drew! Great episode. The RC Cola cans are such cool pieces. Eddie Watt seems likes such a cool guy to spend some time with. Thanks for sharing.
Mr. Watt has so many stories. I hope to get more from him. Thanks.

Thank you for the tip. I will give it a shot. At least they wrote it on the bottom of the can.
Tried to catch the Watt interview but must have tuned in at the wrong time. Awesome that he made Mantle go 0/13! Looking forward to more!
I appreciate you checking it out. I will continue to do small clips in the coming months.

Thanks for the Tiant explanation. I figured there had to be a reason for the high walk count. Have a great weekend.

Amen! It is a bit odd that products are not making cards given their popularity right now.
@ fanatics probably has a hand in this, or just the sheer cost of licensing.
@@macwaxxstacks True. I see there are some products still making cards without the license and without the logos.
I like the accountability on yourself with your stats. 😂 that interview was so cool.

Tiant should be in. But then about 20 more pitchers should be in too if Tiant gets in. Tough call on Munson. I’m going to stay out of that discussion.
Tommy John should be one of the first in the HOF of the pitchers. Thanks for popping over for a bit.
