I don't mind the constant "ok's" at all. It makes your great lessons feel natural, like spending time with a friend who's teaching me. I always say, "you know". We all have little speech habits. Thank you for the terrific lessons. You truly have a gift for teaching!
Vielen Dank für den Unterricht. My parents were German but I was born in Melbourne, Australia where I still live. Meine Eltern sind schon lange tot aber now I want to learn German again but don't have anyone to talk or listen to. Your videos are perfect for me and I am surprised by how much I can actually understand. Speaking is still a challenge though! My aim is to learn enough to get by when I travel to my mum's hometown, Berlin, in 2018!
I'm portuguese and I'm taking german classes at high-school (I'm at A2) and you've been so helpful to me! I must thank you! One thing, I'm learning prepositions like woran, wovor and so on and I'd love to see a video explaining it because it's not that easy, and it's a bit complicated. Ich liebe sein Videos!
Anne S. Now I hope you started to learn the other words she said, specially in german. If you keep paying attention to english words how are you going to learn the german words?
Hallo, Jenny ich möchte nur danke sagen weil Sie eine ganz besonder lehrerin sind. Ich bin sehr froh dass ich sie gefunden habe. Viele grüße Angel aus Honduras..
I strated Fowling you are since in September of 2016. I'm appreciate for every video you send for us that is very usefull for us... thanks againg & good luck
+German with Jenny I started learning german with duolingo a few weeks ago and recently I found your videos Your german caption plus english translation below is great And you're cute, but please don't take it as a compliment
Jenny i have question for you. I have noticed that in past people addressed each other in formal way with Ihr. Would it be weird if i say to a person Ihr instead Sie? Ihr is more natural for me since in Croatia we use Ihr if we want to talk in formal way
Not if you talk to an official person or a doctor, professional, sales person etc. that would not be appropriate. You can use ihr for your friends and family
I know that in German you can get the noun from a verb by capitalising its first letter (for exemple: essen --> das Essen). Following this rule can you say: Ich mag Schlafen (or Essen, Scwimmen, Tanzen, ecc.) or is it too strange to see? Moreover, when can you use the verb "gefallen"? Vielen Danke!
Jenny, podrías hacer un video analizando gramaticalmente un texto?, creo que serviría para aprender a escribir mejor no?, por cierto..muchas gracias por tus videos, ambos canales y sus respectivos videos están muy bien hechos. Saludos desde Chile :)
Hi Jenny,Thank you so much for the German videos. Am learning a lot. I have a question, please kindly teach me on how to construct sentences with words like like sich or mich. Thank you and May God bless you.
thank you so much for uploading videos i have one question regarding gern or gerne some times you were using gern or some times gerne so could you please clear where we have to use gern or gerne like schwimmst du gern, and ich schwimme gerne
Hey Jenny! Hope you are doing good, can you please do a vid about telling someone about your opinion like a discussion but in an easy way. My level is A2 I'm studying but as a language I really find it kinda difficult
+German with Jenny Gut zu wissen. Ich bin erstaunt das Sie fünf Sprache erinnern können. Ich spreche ein bisschen Spanish (oder Spanglish). Allerdings habe ich wenig Lust zu Spanish verbessern. Deutsch ist schwer genug. Gracias Mike
Tolles video Jenny! Danke schön! Eine Frage: Warum sagst du "Dort kaufe/verkaufe ich vieles" anstatt "viel" oder "viele"? Bitte korrigieren meine Grammatik! haha
Hello jenny just find your channel. Glad that I did.. M leaving in Germany trying to learn the language. Your videos are very helpful.. Thanks for the great work.. Can you please make more videos for beginners..
+German with Jenny thank you so much... You are awesome.. I am doing A1 in goethe Institut.. I also shared your videos with them, and they also loved it..
Hallo! Since you mentioned cars... I learned a long time ago that a car was "Wagen". But I noticed Germans usually say "Auto". Is there a reason for that or is it just a habit? Thank you. I'm enjoying learning & revising with your videos. They're never boring!
Danke! Schnelle Antworte! Hmm, I think "Wagen" might be used more generally for any type of vehicle on wheels (could be train, horse carriage...) but Auto(mobil) is very specific to cars that we drive. But i get it, that nowadays we use Auto more commonly.
Thank you for great lessons! You have mentioned about the other video with using "gerne" but I couldn't go directly to it because I'm using UA-cam on my phone. Could you also link such videos in the description below? It would be really helpful! :)
Liebe Jenny, Du bist sehr sehr Nett! Ich danke dir sehr viel für dein Videos und website. Ich bin aus Canaad und lebt in der Schweiz. Wenn du schon einmal im Berner Oberland - Jungfrau Region kommen zum Skifahren oder Wanderung, Gib mir geschieb!
That's a lot of new vocabulary, thanks! 6:05 was a superb bite haha. :P By the way, in 13:42 I cannot recall encountering 'sich' before the subject in a subordinate clause, is that a common word order?
+Firishte this happens whenever you use a noun instead of a pronoun. Examples: Ich mag es, wenn du dich freust. - I like it when you are happy. (you CANNOT say: Ich mag es wenn dich du freust. that is wrong!) Ich mag es, wenn sich meine Schwester freut - I like it when my sister is happy. (CORRECT!) Ich mag es, wenn meine Schwester sich freut - see above (ALSO CORRECT!) Both versions are used frequently in spoken language.
You are very good reacher and I enjoy listening yours lessons. I notice that you always say Ok at the end of your sentences in English.... That s funny ... !!!!😃😃😃
Really nice for german beginners! Just want to add, that you always say "okay?" after almost every sentence, so heads up next time you're making a video, remember that. Thanks for making this video!
Arnis Prokopovics . Now I hope you start to learn the other words she said, specially in german. If you keep paying attention to english words how are you going to learn the german words?
Das war ein Interessantes Video. Vielen neuen Woerter. Du findest Museen langweilich aber du magst Technologie. Hmm... vielleicht gibt es Museen in deinem Stadt wo man kann Historie kennenlernen duerch Technologie? Ein Museum modern? (I bet I got lots of articles wrong... but I hope it's understandable. I meant a type of museum where one doesn't just look at the exhibits, but can get to know more about them using technology.). I've got an idea for a grammar video. Can you do one about prepositions like weil, dass, etc, which trigger the verb-last word order?)
Luoyisi Shimisi she takes the time to work hard and upload these very helpful videos! So for me, she can make an entire auto-tune song where she says "okay" over and over, I don't care! I am grateful and appreciative of her help!!!! I don't complain or even notice such insignificant things!!!
hello..can u please do a listening comprehension for A1 as well..I need it urgently.or if u have done it before then please tell me the exercise number. Thanks

Um 12:15, immer sagt man auf deutsch, dass ein Akku leer ist? Nicht tot? In English we typically say a battery is dead, not empty.
Ja, man sagt: Der Akku ist leer. Nicht "tot".
ich danke dir

+German with Jenny Excellent explanation, German's systematic syntax tickles one's brain. :) Thank you!
+Firishte keine Ursache! :)
@@lingoniGERMAN acknowledged.
You are very good reacher and I enjoy listening yours lessons.
I notice that you always say Ok at the end of your sentences in English....
That s funny ... !!!!😃😃😃
"dunkle" oder "dunkel" ist richtig?
+hedisurfer
1. Hier ist es dunkel. (keine Deklination)
2. Das ist dunkle Schokolade. (Deklination)
+German with Jenny Vielen Danke!
it requires declination according to the case, determiner etc...
Really nice for german beginners! Just want to add, that you always say "okay?" after almost every sentence, so heads up next time you're making a video, remember that. Thanks for making this video!
Thanks :)
Yeah, that video was from December, my newer videos are better in that aspect, I hope :)
Arnis Prokopovics . Now I hope you start to learn the other words she said, specially in german. If you keep paying attention to english words how are you going to learn the german words?
