Paul’s principal concern (all over Ephesians) is how the Jews and Gentiles relate in the people of God, was that Gentiles were to be included in the Covenant of the people of God, on equal footing with Jews, in spite of the fact that they didn’t keep the Mosaic Law. Luthers question that he brings 1500 years later is how do I find a gracious God and do I have to perform moral good deeds or moral behavior (these are not Paul’s questions). These are Luthers questions that he reads into Paul’s texts (Luther is imposing and categorizing that were alien to Paul’s thoughts). Luther is worried that God would not love him, this is not at all Paul’s concern Luthers questions are born out of a scrupulous conscious. Paul does NOT have a scrupulous conscience. Paul is not at all concerned about the things that Luther, or Calvin was worried about Paul says that he is “conscious of nothing against myself”. The good works James is speaking about do not save us, but they are evidence that we are already saved. Luther was no false teacher he taught what the bible actually teaches Luther, unlike the Catholic who cherry picked at scriptures and added false doctrines into scripture which Luther was against as Luther believed scripture is the word of God and we are to believe all the scripture teaches and we are to only practice what is scriptural only if it's unbiblical then we are to stay away as lutherns only trusts in God's words that is biblically backed up.

no Luther taught that faith is the one and only thing a person can contribute to his salvation ,and santification. read the Bondage of the will by Luther. Calvin taught that God inituates Faith, but not Luther. Jesus always praised faith when shown by humans. and condemeded lack of faith. Hebrews deals exclusively with what faith is and how it works. we can believe in the rightouesness of God and that is the one and only good work man can do. this honors God. and then he saves
Luther and Faith [24] Faith is the foundation for works, but what is faith for Luther? There is some level of ambiguity in Luther's understanding of faithfulness: On the one hand, Luther talks about faith as the gift of God who acts upon humans wholly from without. On the other hand, Luther speaks of faith as a concrete personal decision and commitment. 36How is this tension and ambiguity to be resolved? For Luther, the acknowledgment of God's sovereignty and the belief in God's accessibility can only be found in Christ and his Word. [25] Christians can discover the revealed God through Christ and Scripture yet there is still the hidden God, which is completely inaccessible and incomprehensible.37 Humans have nothing to do with the majesty of God, but humans do "have something to do with him (God) insofar as he is clothed and set forth in his Word." 38In this way faith always represents more than what the believer can know through the revealed or "clothed" Word of God. Faith is not reasonable or merely contemplative, rather faith always involves paradox concerning the revealed God of mercy and the hidden God of wrath. Luther writes, "If I could by any means comprehend [i.e., by human ways of thinking] how this God can be merciful and just who displays so much wrath and inequity, there would be no need of faith."39 Faith is a miracle that cannot be understood according to ordinary criteria, but requires a blindly trusting audacity. [26] The audacity of faith is most concretely discovered in Jesus Christ. It is in Christ that the mysterious God is most visible and the incomprehensible God is most revealed , without abandoning God's mystery. The knowledge of God revealed in Christ is the beginning of all true knowledge of God and humanity. Luther tells believers not to contemplate the mystery of God but to look to "God incarnate . . . who has been sent into the world for the very purpose of willing, speaking, doing, suffering, and offering to all men everything necessary for salvation."40 Jesus does not offer speculation concerning the secrets of God. Rather, Christ is clothed in the flesh and points the believer towards the word of God's promises that is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Luther writes, " . . . Christ has opened our minds so that we may understand the Scriptures [Luke 24:45], and the gospel is preached to the whole creation [Mark :15]."41 Luther believes that to preach the gospel is to fulfill the gospel. Therefore, Luther takes no credit for the Reformation but attributes it all to the word of God:
Jeff Prock that’s absurd!! Luther’s whole faith was built upon this. “God loved me first”. Even while I still give God reason to strike me down, his mercy abounds and overlooks my short comings.
The Biggest Lie in history is Faith Alone. If a man Says he has faith, but has not works, can his faith save him?... NO Because Faith, by itself, is dead James 2:14, “ For even as the body without the spirit is dead; so also faith without works is dead.". James 2:26. Thus also faith by itself if it does not have works, is dead James 2:17. Did you get that Hmm
You are misunderstand Luther when he says faith alone as Luther was talking about Paul teachings at the moment but later on he explains how faith alone Will lead us to naturally produces good works to thank and glorify Jesus for what he has done for us. In Luther's full teachings he teaches us by faith alone we will naturally do good works out of Love for God this was his full message which this is backed up by scripture as Paul message about faith alone goes along side Peters Peters message about doing Good work. Luther taught that peter message and Paul message goes hand to hand. As Luther taught you can't understand Peters message about works without understanding Paul message about faith alone as those two messages complete each other.
The Greatest Deception is for people to think that they are saved but are not. You need to make it clear “...by faith not of yourself, it is a gift...” Faith is a work... 1 Thess 1:3 “Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love...” 2Ti 2:25 “In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;” God gives repentance. Salvation is all His work and His glory. For people to even try to add to His work is to discount His perfect work. A person is saved not by our faith, but by His faith. His work in the person to cause them to believe and not with a make-believe believing that religion can only give a person. Rom 3:3 “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?” I am sure that the devil would want people to believe they are saved so they would not seek true salvation. Jesus said many: Mat 7:22 “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” If you love people you would want to know how they were deceived into thinking that they were saved. It took me forty years to learn some things. If everyone knew there was a loving God, who would not want to know Him in a personal way? The problem is that we are not up to His level of goodness. We know we should treat others as we would want to be treated but fail to even do that. God gets to the heart of the problem: (Does God make a law we cannot do? Yes! Jesus asked Why do you not do the things I say...) Deu 10:16 “Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.” Who can do that? The religious would want you to try; it is all they know what to do. God is trying to get us to the end of ourselves so to see our need and His answer. To become poor in spirit. Deu 30:6 “And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.” Jesus said: Matt at 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” (He did not say, the poor, so do not push the social gospel and try to get people to feel “good” doing religious things.) People should mourn because in themselves there is no way to measure up and be righteousness. This is the problem we are in. (the human condition) Rom 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” What we can do is see our need and call out to Him that He only can save us, wait on Him, and be in the Word. You should know your works will not save you. Did you know your faith is a work? 1Th 1:3 “Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love...” So we are not saved by our work of faith; it must only be by His work of faith that He demonstrated on the cross. Preachers can try to stir your faith up with emotionalism or loud mind-control music repeated over and over. But that is not salvation. That kind of faith will cause a person to believe with a make-believing believing. I tell the atheist that they are closer to the truth in knowing that God is not real to them than the many Christians with make-believe believing. How real is Jesus to you? Jesus knows about salvation! John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him...” They may sincerely want to come to Jesus, but the Father must draw them. That word translated draw is more like drag(do a word study), it is with force of His will. His will is what counts. John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, (even was added) to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Only to those born again according to His will. I believe in free will...His free will to save whom He will. Religion is a do-it-yourself system. Preachers can try to get you to work at it real hard, but only God can give the power to be sons of God. Salvation is all His work and all His glory. We are not saved by our faith but by His faith, He demonstrated His faith on the cross. He must apply it and it is effectual. Rom 3:3 “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?” People can believe the correct doctrine and not know Him. We do not know the Father as Christ did. When you know He is alive and pulling you into a relationship with Himself, how can you not believe the right way and have true assurance in your testings? Lam 3:25 “The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. 26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.” Gal 2:16 “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even (He made it possible) we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Jud 1:3 “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Rev 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” I think the many were deceived by sincere religious people trying to be the best they can to please God by their own effort and own will and their own faith, not His faith. +pana376 The same could be said of the Prophets of the Old Testament, Jesus and His Apostles, as well as Luther. All of which, not only did not profit from their faith, but suffered terrible persecution and often death. It is a mistake to judge Christianity according to profiteers and hucksters, like many of the televangelists, who misrepresent the faith and do not follow the teachings of its founder. We are warned in Scripture that there would be such men; If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out (1 Tim. 6:3-7).

Faith itself should be good enough proof of miracles and that some work must be done at choice not requirements or commanded to.
Luther is worried that God would not love him, this is not at all Paul’s concern
Luthers questions are born out of a scrupulous conscious. Paul does NOT have a scrupulous conscience. Paul is not at all concerned about the things that Luther, or Calvin was worried about
Paul says that he is “conscious of nothing against myself”. Paul’s concern is how Jews and Gentiles will get along now that Gentiles don’t have to practice the Mosaic law

Martin Luther Truly Follow the BIBLE a Lifes Journey from God
Hey Reggie
Martin Luther introduced the false doctrine of Faith alone, then in this speech warns about those who separate faith from works.
Seems like he is talking in circles
God bless you
Martin Luther was a man blessed by God as God called Martin Luther into ministry and guided Luther into the wisdom he taught. As Luther believed we are to live accordingly to what scripture teaches his love for God and for God's words was strong. Luther has always obeyed what ever God told him which made him a great man. God brought Luther into the world to restore Christianity back into it's original form. Know saint Luther is finally home with God our Father in Heaven.
@@MrKev1664 you are misunderstand Luther's as Luther didteach faith alone but he also taught that our faith in Jesus naturally produces good works to thank and glorify Jesus for what he has done for us. here is one of the Quotes taught by Luther that went along with his claims of faith alone Paul is speaking about how we are saved (justification), while James is speaking about how the saved person lives (sanctification).

Christ be with you
Sorry you are incorrect
St James tells us he is speaking of Justification not sanctification.
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. (James 2:26)
he also tells us he is speaking in terms of salvation.
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? (James 2:14)
Yet it is not that faith or works that save us but Gods Grace given to those who repent.
The problem with Luther's teaching is that it is a doctrine of apathy.
His words give the cause this because people think the are already saved and there is no more work to do.
it is just a nice to have to show a little evidence from time to time.
His doctrine make it sound like your works play no part us receiving eternal life.
St Paul tell us that this is mocking God.
He tell us if we wish to have eternal life we must do good works in abundance and ensure we do not faint in doing them (Gal 6:1-10)
I am sorry it is Lutherans and other protestant who cherry pick proof texts.
Please tell me what do you think it means when we are told have faith in Jesus Christ.
What must we do?
God bless you
@@MrKev1664 Yes Christ is with me I suggest you find Christ and learn the actual gospel and not what the Catholic heretics tells you what to believe. I believe what the scripture teach not what the Catholics claims. I'm sorry but you need to learn the bible before you even try to use the bible because when u preach on what u understand not you end up leading people astray. I know my bible because I allow the Holy spirit teach me not man I suggest you learn to do the same. As Catholics are just bunch of heretics who perverts the scripture into saying what they wanna hear instead of listening to what it actually claims.
Great themes.. Thanks. "...the core of religious faith is that mystic feeling which unites man with God. This state of spiritual communion can be brought about and maintained by means of meditation and prayer." ~ Shoghi Effendi, Baha'i Faith
If Luther really said this, he contradicted himself, because at other times he said that faith alone was sufficient for salvation, that the doing of good works are actually sins, and that the Epistle of James was an epistle of straw because it says faith without works is dead.
Do you really believe that doing good works is a sin? How then can you be the light of the world? How then can you keep the commandment which says love thy neighbour as thy self?
@@jesuschristislord1986 I don't believe that doing good works is a sin. But Martin Luther did.
"Good works are sins like all the rest."
---Martin Luther
The more you investigate Luther the more you find just how evil he was.
Ok. Thanks for clarifying that.
God bless you.
The music is loud and I'm struggling to hear what's being said! I can't imagine drowning out the sermon just so you can make the sermon more "entertaining". What a disappointment.
Happy Reformation Day! Having investigated both Lordship Salvation and the so-called "free grace" aka Easily believism, I know what true faith is. Trusting in the finished work of Christ to save your from your sins, though there is no threshold of good works or which sins send a Christian to hell after they have believed.
eh hold on there Martin, call no man a fool.
Raca, fool is what u are in reference to ! And not how Martin luther is using here ! U need to study to show yourselves approved In the things of God !
no Luther taught that faith is the one and only thing a person can contribute to his salvation ,and santification. read the Bondage of the will by Luther.
Luther and Faith
[24] Faith is the foundation for works, but what is faith for Luther?

@KamLalMuan what did Christ say to the rich lord on how to earn salvation?
The Biggest Lie in history is Faith Alone. If a man Says he has faith, but has not
works, can his faith save him?... NO Because Faith, by itself, is dead James
2:14, “ For even as the body without the spirit is dead; so also faith without
works is dead.". James 2:26. Thus also faith by itself if it does not
have works, is dead James 2:17.
The Greatest Deception
is for people to think that they are saved but are not.
You need to make it clear “...by faith not of yourself, it is a
gift...”
Faith is a work...
1 Thess 1:3 “Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love...”
2Ti 2:25 “In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if
God peradventure will give them repentance
to the acknowledging of the truth;”
God gives repentance. Salvation is all His work and His glory. For people
to even try to add to His work is to discount His perfect work. A
person is saved not by our faith, but by His faith. His work in the
person to cause them to believe and not with a make-believe believing
that religion can only give a person.
Rom 3:3 “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the
faith of God without effect?”
I am sure that the devil would want people to believe they are saved so
they would not seek true salvation. Jesus said many:
Mat 7:22 “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in
thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto
them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
If you love people you would want to know how they were deceived into thinking that they
were saved. It took me forty years to learn some things. If everyone
knew there was a loving God, who would not want to know Him in a
personal way? The problem is that we are not up to His level of
goodness. We know we should treat others as we would want to be
treated but fail to even do that. God gets to the heart of the
problem: (Does God make a law we cannot do? Yes! Jesus asked Why do
you not do the things I say...)
Deu 10:16 “Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.”
Who can do that? The religious would want you to try; it is all they know
what to do. God is trying to get us to the end of ourselves so to see
our need and His answer. To become poor in spirit.
Deu 30:6 “And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and
the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart,
and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.” Jesus said:
Matt at 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” (He did not say, the
poor, so do not push the social gospel and try to get people to feel
“good” doing religious things.) People should mourn because in
themselves there is no way to measure up and be righteousness. This
is the problem we are in. (the human condition)
Rom 3:10 “As it is written, There is
none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is
none that understandeth, there is
none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are
together become unprofitable; there is
none that doeth good, no, not one.”
John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:
and I will raise him up at the last day.” What we can do is see our
need and call out to Him that He only can save us, wait on Him, and
be in the Word. You should know your works will not save you. Did you
know your faith is a work?
1Th 1:3 “Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of
love...” So we are not saved by our work of faith; it must only be
by His work of faith that He demonstrated on the cross. Preachers can try to stir your faith up
with emotionalism or loud mind-control music repeated over and over.
But that is not salvation. That kind of faith will cause a person to
believe with a make-believing believing. I tell the atheist that they
are closer to the truth in knowing that God is not real to them than the many Christians with
make-believe believing. How real is Jesus to you? Jesus knows about
salvation!
John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him...” They
may sincerely want to come to Jesus, but the Father must draw them.
That word translated draw is more like drag(do a word study),
it is with force of His will. His will is what counts.
John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the
sons of God, (even was added) to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of
blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of
God.” Only to those born again according to His will.
I believe in free will...His free will to save whom He will. Religion
is a do-it-yourself system. Preachers can try to get you to work at
it real hard, but only God can give the power to be sons of God.
Salvation is all His work and all His glory. We are not saved by our
faith but by His faith, He demonstrated His faith on the cross. He
must apply it and it is effectual.
Rom 3:3 “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the
faith of God without effect?”
People can believe the correct doctrine and not know Him.
We do not know the Father as Christ did. When you know He is alive
and pulling you into a relationship with Himself, how can you not
believe the right way and have true assurance in your testings?
Lam 3:25 “The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of
the LORD.”
Gal 2:16 “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but
by the faith of Jesus Christ, even (He made it possible) we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we
might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
Jud 1:3 “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common
salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that
ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”
Rev 14:12 “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the
faith of Jesus.”
I think the many were deceived by sincere religious people trying to be the best they can to please God by their own effort and own will and their own faith, not His faith. Blessed are the poor in spirit!

A high precision gyroscope with bearings and motor to spin it at high
RPM will maintain its orientation no matter how you turn it. Put a
gyroscope on a turntable and have a clock turn it 1 RPDay and see the
recession after 6 hr. Also if the earth is turning you should see
some recession after 6 hr. off the turntable. What if the turntable
is turning in the opposite direction as the Earth is turning if the
Earth is actually turning as they say?
Why would I want to be manipulative or dishonest I don't profit from the sheeple
+pana376 The same could be said of the Prophets of the Old Testament, Jesus and His Apostles, as well as Luther. All of which, not only did not profit from their faith, but suffered terrible persecution and often death. It is a mistake to judge Christianity according to profiteers and hucksters, like many of the televangelists, who misrepresent the faith and do not follow the teachings of its founder. We are warned in Scripture that there would be such men;
If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out (1 Tim. 6:3-7).
What is faith? Your faith is your works and your works are your faith.
That is what Luther taught as Luther taught by having faith alone
We will naturally produces good works to thank and glorify Jesus for what he has done for us..
But where in the Bible does it say once you believe in Jesus you will only do good works and stop sinning?
@@psallen5099 Never once did I claim once you believed in Jesus you will only do good works and stop sinning I said Luther taught what Paul and peter claimed about good works as well as faith alone how their teaching goes hand in hand as through faith you will naturally do good works which is backed up in scripture such as in Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Annoying music . Isn't the topic worth considering on its own?
Faith is belief based on absence of data. It invites disaster.
well sometimes........
Skyler I go by - everyone is entitled to believe whatever they choose and I agree with you faith is belief based on absence of data. I learned and studied, dug deep to find God with my mind - never did, so I forgot He exists. Then one day I hit rock bottom and opened my heart and viola - He was there, helping me to get up.
It invites disaster - only if you believe in wrong things and made up gods. I believe in Jesus with all my heart and He has changed me, now I`ve become a new and better person. Still growing and learning in love of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Peace to you sister!
You have great faith.
