Love your videos! But I wish you would keep the picture of the box longer up there and have more pics of the games, it would be easier to follow your explenation and get into the great games!
A friend of ours came by two weeks ago to borrow our copy of Viticulture/Tuscany by porch pickup :). Sadly it is under quarantine away from us right now :(. We will have to play when all of this is over.
I love both number one games. But Castles of Burgundy is by far my number one with Ellen. I'm so glad you didn't cut much out of the video. Loved the whole thing!❤❤🐸🐸
Thank you guys. This was so nice, I felt like being accross the table from you. Castles of Burgundy was a one & done for me but after seing it in so many top lists, I decided to order the 20th Anniversary Edition. I also bought the app to get a better feeling on it. I do not remember if Brass is in your lists, but you should definitely try it (although its best at 3 in my opinion). Stay safe!
Okay, I went back and watched it. And now I’m back. You two are a great couple. Never leave UA-cam. Also...should have left this on the other video, but Ellen’s fave when Randy mentions Pulsar is the exact same face my wife makes every time I mention Space Base. 😂
Glad you enjoyed! Haha! Ellen is NOT a fan of pulsar.... must..change..her.. mind.. or just deal with it and play any number of other games she loves, LOL
Awesome Video! Castles of Burgundy & Space Base are in my top 5 too! I first bought CoB just because you guys raved about it so much and you were so right.
Your lists were awesome! I own (and love) three from Ellen’s list, one from Randy’s and one that you both picked. We have different tastes, because I have to play solo. Also. Every time you had the same game on both of your lists, I said, “Awwwww!”
Ellen, for the reasons you looked for Obsession, have you played Lords and Ladies? It is a fun/funny cards game where each player tries to gain the most family reputation and throw shame on everyone else. You get a real sense of satisfaction when you win with a scandal free "pure" family... but winning with an ex-maid turned mother-in-law is pretty fun too.
@@WeGameTogether It has that Downton Abbey feel in a shorter play length. The two player rules are good but it really shines with 3-4 players. The "take that" aspect works very well in being funny and not anger inducing and you get to roll a dice to make babies just like in RL.
Love the passion you guys bring when talking about your favorite games! Since you seem to love dice placement/manipulation, have you guys tried Alien Frontiers? It’s usually refered to as the first big kickstarter game (published 2010) but it’s first and foremost a fantastic game in my opinion. It has held the #1 spot for me ever since i got into the hobby back in 2015. Rurik and circadians i’m eager to try out!
Linus Ottosson thank you!! So nice of you☺️ I Havnt heard of that game and now I’d love to try. Yeah, it has become very apparent to randy and I both of the the months that we love dice placement. Thanks for letting us know about it. Omgosh circadian is a delight.. loooove it
My numbers - 1 - Scythe, 2 - Sentinels of the Multiverse, 3 - Spirit Island, 4 - Anachrony, 5 - On Mars, 6 - Great Western Trail, 7 - Maracaibo, 8 - Brass: Birmingham, 9 - Paladins of the West Kingdom, 10 - Dinosaur Island. Raiders, Architects, Viticulture, Terraforming Mars are all in my 13-21. I still have never tried Castles of Burgundy.
@@WeGameTogether I need someone to buy it :P I seem to be the only one who buys games in our group and I only have so much room and money. It is on my list to try though when I get an opportunity!
Great lists and video! Unrelated question that can someone answer for me - Why do ads pop up every couple of minutes during their videos? When I watch a normal Dice Tower video, I only get the two ads at the start. Just curious.
Thanks! Also thanks for bringing up the ads. There is an option on our end to turn off the ads in the middle. Must have clicked it back on by accident!
You guys are great! Thank you for these great videos! They are very enjoyable to watch! You are doing a great job! I have loved seeing what games you enjoy playing! I do not think many of them will make it into my collection since I do not have people to play with who enjoy these heavier games. My family likes more medium weight to light weight games. I need to find people like you in my area! Thanks again and keep up the great work! Stay safe and healthy! Edit: Space base might happen!🤓
Love the video! I've played about half of your top 10 My personal top 10 10. Queendomino 9. Gloomhaven 8. Wingspan 7. Castles of Burgundy 6. Clank 5. Wingspan 4. Pandemic legacy season 1 3. Champions of Midgard (with both expansions) 2. Raiders of the North Sea (with both expansions) These viking games really love expansions haha 1. Cosmic Encounter
You guys totally sold me on Ellen's #9: Architects of the West Kingdom. Played it twice, and I've picked it up, along with the Artisans expansion. The meeple circulation strategy with the jail is so cool (and other things too)
Great list! You guys have a lot of overlap! That's perfect. Some my wife and I love: Viticulture, Raiders, Parks, Pulsar, and Quacks! Yet why no love for Everdell?? And no Brass?? No Wingspan?? Those three have to be in our top 20! Games we have to try: Obsession, FfO (we love Caverna), Black Angel, and Carpe Diem!!
Wes H. Wingspan I think is pretty good, I wasn’t head over heals. Brass I’ve only played once but would love to play again. Ever dell neither of us has played yet!
We Game Together I felt the same way until I played this. I’ve played pandemic a ton of times with various expansions (my wife loves it), and I am kind of sick of it now. It really turned me off to all cooperative games for a long time. Spirit Island, however, surprised me by being unlike any cooperative game I’ve ever played. It’s so complex that “quarterbacking” is almost impossible, and yet not so complex that I get lost in it. It also functions as a really good solo game and the variability in difficulty selection is exceptional.
Loved these videos, and I love many of the games in your top 20s! Here's my top 10: 1. Dinosaur Island 2. Scythe 3. Trickerion 4. Architects of the West Kingdom 5. Viticulture 6. Unfair 7. Imperial Settlers: Empires of the North 8. Suburbia 9. Euphoria 10. It’s a Wonderful World
I just discovered your channel. I have played and own most of the games you listed. Apart from that i love the way you present these games and how you justify your preferences. Eurogames are the best ! You just won a new fan. I will check your toplist 20-10 just after but i am curious to know if you tried games like Lorenzo, Coimbra, Anachrony, Lewis & Clark, Dominant Species, Fresko.... See you soon guys i will follow you from now on. Kiss from Paris.
Yohann CAILLEAU Yayy!!💞💞 so glad you’re a follower. We’re happy to have you along for the ride ☺️ *euro games for liiiiife*;) I LOVE Lorenzo. Coimbra is also really good. I hear it compared to Lorenzo a lot. I think if I had to chose between them I’d take Lo. I Havnt played the others😱 I think randy has tho. We’re actually about to play Orleans in a few mins. Can’t wait.
Honestly I think it’s one that can be picked up as is. It’ll take you a number of games before you get to the high 100’s and into 200+ points. It was actually Ellen’s game that got her into the hobby. If you have some experience with worker placement games that helps
I have beeen waiting to comment but when Isaw Circadians as Ellen’s number three I had to pause and say yes!!! You’ll are so on fire! Wince this pandemic is over I’m going to make it a Goal to eventually play a game with y’all. Hopefully dice Tower east will happen and we can meet up there! The closest dice Tower person I ever saw to having similar tastes was Mandy but then you all came alone!
Yay I watched the top ten! So Randy are you going to buy Ellen the game Parks? My favorite game on Ellen's list is Raiders of the North Sea! I do enjoy a game called Coldwater Crown that has a similar mechanic. I want to try Rurik! My favorite two games right now are 2. Aventuria Adventure Card Game and 1. Aeon's End New Age!
Great video and list! I'm interested in finding out some more about Rurik: Dawn of Kiev and Circadians: First Light. Love how you play off each other with your banter. It's almost as if you're married or something. I have to echo John Wheeler's recommendation for Grand Austria Hotel. My favorite 2p game at the moment. For what it's worth, here's my top ten: 10. Deus 9. One Week Ultimate Werewolf 8. Tikal 7. Werewords Deluxe Edition 6. Fantasy Realms 5. Horrified 4. Scythe 3. Grand Austria Hotel 2. Whistle Stop 1. 51st State: Master Set
Ben Joslin thanks! Obsession is in between prints and has a new expansion coming out. The Kickstarter funded and it may hit retail but you can preorder it from them here upstairs-downstairs-an-obsession-expansion.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders
My Top 10 1 Oath 2 Root 3 Architects of the West Kingdom 4 Dwellings of Eldervale 5 Pax Pamir: Second Edition 6 Glen More II: Chronicles 7 Wingspan 8 Res Arcana 9 Century: Golem Edition 10 Arkham Horror (Third Edition)
My current top 10: 1. Tikal 2. Carcassonne: Amazonas 3. Insider 4. Barenpark 5. Century: Spice Road 6. Adventure Land 7. Twice as Clever 8. The Quest for El Dorado 9. Ticket to Ride: New York 10. Carcassonne: Hunters and Gatherers
Love Rurik!! I missed the KS and bought it off someone who did. By far the best storage system I have ever seen in a tabletop game. Spot on with the auction programming IS the game. Great list
Great Western Trail! I didn't think either of you liked it...I approve of your choice Randy, even if it did drop. I love it for its mechanics, not so much the theme. I have Maracaibo but haven't played it yet, but hoping it's just as great. Obsession was also a great pick, can't wait for the expansion and tweaks. I love it for its theme and mechanics. Lots of good games here. : ) Thanks for the video!
renee baziuk yes! That’s how i(Ellen) feel too. I like GWT mechanics, but the theme and just how heavy it is make me not wanna play too much. We just got Maracaibo in yesterday. I hear it’s really heavy too. I love obsession. Can’t wait for that expansion.
We have so many crossovers. We would make awesome gaming buddies. Too bad we didn't play a game together at DTC, maybe at a future DT con! I just played A Feast for Odin with the expansion. I absolutely loved it and it would definitely creep into my top 10 now, but here's my list as of a few weeks ago. I want to play black angel, however I wasn't a huge fan of Troyes. Do you guys like Troyes as well? This needs to be a yearly thing, and do top 50 games of all time next time :) Great job guys! My top 10!: 1. Five Tribes 2. Race for the galaxy 3. Terraforming mars 4. Castles of Burgundy 5. Caverna 6. Yokohama 7. Viticulture 8. Concordia 9. Teotihuacan 10. Roll for the galaxy
Cool! Well, we’d love to game with you if we ever get the chance! I like your list! Good stuff in there. Idk why 5tribes never does it for me. I wish I liked it more.
Top 10: 1. Scythe, 2. Clank, 3. Champions of Midgard, 4. Marvel champions, 5. Villainous 6. Everdell 7. Teotocuahan 8. Wingspan 9. Chronicles of Crime 10. Tapestry I value games a lot that I can tell a story about afterwards, so CoB is far from my top 10, but I should try feast for odin.
Top Ten as of 2019 are from 10-1; Star Realms, Survive Escape from Atlantis, Champions of Midgard, Gloomhaven, Cartographers, Zombicide Green Horde/Black Plague, Scythe, Dinosaur Island, Star Wars Outerrim, Western Legends.
Not sure I ever asked this, but did you two design your own logo? It's really nice. And yes, I know you've had it for a long time so I'm way behind on that compliment :D.
I HATE Terraforming mars, Owned it, Upgraded a ton of its bad components, but after multiple plays and cant remember loosing at it, they all felt just alike, Traded it off, Not fan the re-play ability. dont own but have wanted to try Viticulture and feast of Odin .. but rest didnt hit my fancy, I like Vikings gone wild for Card Draft and Lords of Water deep with expansions Still one my favorite worker placement games. your lists are not my favorites but , her smile awards you the Thumbs up.
Pearlay Griffinrider I don’t love TM either because I’m terrible with engine builders, but that’s a reflection of me..not the game. Totally understand why people would either hate it or love it. Viticulture is SO good. And I kinda only wanna play it with the expansion☺️ And, thanks;) 😁
Great lists! Love watching top 10's to see how others tastes line up with my own. My top 10 are: 10. Raiders of the North Sea 9. Orleans 8. Star Wars: Rebellion 7. Chaos in the Old World 6. Great Western Trail 5. Mansions of Madness 4. Vindication 3. Cyclades 2. Arkham Horror: The Card Game 1. Eclipse
This was Great(except for some of the games that I don't care for). I will share with you my top 10 games of all time. I am working on a top 100 list as well and i have about 60 games on it. I am trying to acquire new games and also play games to get them added. Okay here is my list. 10. Munchkin 9. 7 wonders 8. King of Tokyo 7. Rurik: Dawn of Kiev 6. Clank! A Deck Building Adventure 5. Star Wars: The Interactive Video Board Game 4. Legendary Marvel: A Deck Building Card Game 3. Great Western Trail 2. Santa's Workshop 1. Castles of Burgundy
You guys have very similar taste in games as me and my wife. Some of my favorite are (in no particular order): Teotihucan (this is my favorite game) Viticulture Grand Austria Hotel (you guys have to try it if you haven't) Lorenzo Architects Clank Wingspan T'zolkin Coimbra COB I love Trismegistus but haven't played it enough because my wife says it is too much. Games that are out that I have to play; Maracaibo, GWT, Carpe Diem, Santa Maria, Feast For Odin. I have GWT (going to give it to my dad for Father's day) And Feast For Odin but haven't played them.
I am trying to get my wife into boardgaming. She has tryed Ticket to ride and a couple of others. My gamecollection is very cthulhuheavy and i regretfully realise that isnt everyones cup of tea. I told her i want to spend more time with her but she dont seem that interested in researching what game to get. But both in this video and in the comments i have gotten very good advice. I am thinking wingspan and viticulture as a start. Are they too heavy or are they doable? Oh and are there any good detectivegames? I know she loves to read and watch Agatha Christies work and Sherlock Holmes.
Northern Light I find that a lot of new players tend towards a theme they like as a good entry point. Wingspan and viticulture are not particularly heavy but they’re not exactly light either. That’s not to say you shouldn’t try those, if the person has a desire to try, these games I think will be fine! We tend to suggest lanterns a harvest festival and century spice road/golem as good entry games but everyone’s mileage varies As for detective games, one of the easier to get into is chronicles of crime! We love that one
I didn’t list my own Top ten board games 1-Gloomhaven 2-BSG 3-Horrified 4-Pathfinder Adventure Card Game 5-Legendary Encounters 6-Legendary Marvel 7-Crystallo 8-Masmorra 9-Quacks 10-Space Base
Architects of the West Kingdom is my 34th favorite game. I like it, but feel it is missing something, and I don't know what. I do think it plays too quickly. I am undecided if I should get the expansion. Expansions are must for top 20 games, but questionable below that. Raiders of the North Sea was a game I quite enjoyed the mechanics, but disliked the theme. I don't hate the theme of Vikings, but definitely am not a fan. I read one viking novel but had a strong christian element and thus somewhat enjoyed it. But that is why I disliked the game. As a christian I felt bad attacking a christian monastery. Sp I sold this game. If teh game was rethemed, I would quite enjoy it. Great Western Trail is my 27th favorite game. I enjoy old west themed games, and I do like euros with strong themes. The base game cow strategy is usually the winner. The expansion supposedly fixes this but haven't played the expansion enough to discover this truth. I bought the expansion when the game was higher in my top 100. I feel if I play this more often it will settle down in my top 100 but it has been all over the place in my top 100. Currently resides at 27. Terraforming Mars is my #62. I quite enjoy this game but gets knocked down because it is too long for what it is. My wife was intrigued and recently bought it, but hated it so she sold it. I played it before elsewhere and like it, but don't love it, so I don't need to own it. Viticulture is high in my "to play" list. Never played it. Castles of Burgundy was one of the 1st games I played when I joined my board game meetup. I thought it "meh". It was okay, it did not intrigue or interest me. Would I play it again? yes, but I would not request it, and would try to play something else. It is not on my top 100, and doubt it would be in my top 200. I currently only have a top 110.
gospel-kingdom website I understand following your convictions. 💗 Raiders is one of my faves, but I do prefer it with at least one of the expansions. Terraforming Mars is soooo long, it’s very good. I don’t love it because I’m terrible with engine building. I really like Architects I’d the West Kingdom, but also felt something was missing. The expansions totally helps with that for me! Bummer about Castles of B. I adore it ☺️Thanks for this input!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
1) Rising sun with all kickstarter components and expansions (unfortunately thats the only way Ill play the game) also this video could have been shorter.
Good pick! Yes we know that it could be shorter LOL. time got away from us and rather than chop it does to pieces we figured a one off on our top 10 would have to work
Love your videos! But I wish you would keep the picture of the box longer up there and have more pics of the games, it would be easier to follow your explenation and get into the great games!
I love watching you both how you share passion to board games ❤️ it’s amazing to see happiness on your faces when you talking! thank you for that 👍
Omgosh that’s so sweet of you to say. Thank you. I’m so glad the fun we have together with gaming shines through!💕
A friend of ours came by two weeks ago to borrow our copy of Viticulture/Tuscany by porch pickup :). Sadly it is under quarantine away from us right now :(. We will have to play when all of this is over.
Tina Rose well that stinks lol
I love both number one games. But Castles of Burgundy is by far my number one with Ellen. I'm so glad you didn't cut much out of the video. Loved the whole thing!❤❤🐸🐸
Ribbletts Gaming thanks! Yep decided to mostly just go for it!
Thank you guys. This was so nice, I felt like being accross the table from you. Murat haha! I swear CoB keeps making reappearances every 6-9months. I love it so much☺️ Brass is not in our lists. I Havnt played it.
Okay, I went back and watched it. And now I’m back. You two are a great couple. Never leave UA-cam. Also...should have left this on the other video, but Ellen’s fave when Randy mentions Pulsar is the exact same face my wife makes every time I mention Space Base. 😂

Awesome list!!...great color for you Ellen. :)
Toronto1967 glad you enjoyed the vid! Well, thank you😊
I totally agree that Castles of Burgundy is a classic. I keep coming back to it.
jankogo yes🙌🏻🙌🏻
Love the list! Thank you all for doing what you all do! You two are awesome! And you have given me some new games to look into!
Glad to hear it, thanks for watching!
Awesome video, thank you so sharing your favorite games
Awesome list and great video! I think Grand Austria Hotel and La Granja would definitely be in your wheelhouse to!
Both games we want to check out, thanks for the extra verification lol
You two are awesome. Thanks for putting this together.
Scyld Scefing thank you so much! It’s our pleasure. Very fun!
Awesome Video! Castles of Burgundy & Space Base are in my top 5 too! I first bought CoB just because you guys raved about it so much and you were so right.
Sean C awesome! Glad you liked COB!
Your lists were awesome! I own (and love) three from Ellen’s list, one from Randy’s and one that you both picked. We have different tastes, because I have to play solo.
Also. Every time you had the same game on both of your lists, I said, “Awwwww!”
Nathan Bredfeldt haha that’s awesome!!which are the games you love? I wish I enjoyed solo more. Seems relaxing.

Yes Ellen!! Parks!!! I totally agree! Honestly our game interests are very much the same!
Ryan Roehrig yay! That’s so cool. Parks a is SUCH a great game.

Erin Hannah thanks! Yep, don’t waste fine on games that sit around. Plenty of great games out there, play the ones you can!
Great lists! I have a lot in common with your top 20 lists, so many amazing games. And a few I'm gonna check out (like Rurik).
Mikael Hansson I cant believe how many great games are out there, I wish we could play them all! Rurik is definitely one to at least check out
Love the video!

Stonewall Jackson aw thanks...you got a lot of great games in your list! I really liked wingspan my second play
You guys totally sold me on Ellen's #9: Architects of the West Kingdom. Played it twice, and I've picked it up, along with the Artisans expansion. The meeple circulation strategy with the jail is so cool (and other things too)
Chris Armstrong glad you liked it! Enjoy
Lot of my personal favorites in your top 10s. I knew there was a reason I liked you guys :).
Marc MacNair we like you too Marc lol
I own Black Angel, Parks, Terraforming Mars, and Space Base.
None of these would make my top 25.
But I know you guys dig Euros.
That we do lol!

I just discovered your channel. I have played and own most of the games you listed. Apart from that i love the way you present these games and how you justify your preferences. Eurogames are the best ! You just won a new fan.

Could you recommend a game as stepping a stone to castles of burgundy?
Honestly I think it’s one that can be picked up as is. It’ll take you a number of games before you get to the high 100’s and into 200+ points. It was actually Ellen’s game that got her into the hobby.
If you have some experience with worker placement games that helps
@@WeGameTogether sounds good to me 😊 my wife and i have lords of waterdeep with scoundrels and are enjoying that 👍
Yay! I've been waiting for this video
Shane Barnick haha! Hope you enjoy!
Picked up Carpe Diem on your recommendation and my wife and I loved it! We even played multiple times in one night.
Richard Maloy awesome! Glad you guys like it
I find my game tastes run similar to yours. The games on this list that I haven’t played yet are getting played after social distancing is over.
GamesAFire nice! Any particular one you’re planning to play first?
Great list both of you! I love Euro games so these games are exactly my taste :)
Perfect!
Have you tried Covert? It has some fun dice placement/manipulation.
Stephen Estes oooo well have to check that out! I (Ellen) Havnt even heard of that one!
My favorite workerplacement game is Simurgh with Expansion, with Viticulture and Caverna really close behind.
Hmm haven’t tried that one, might have to check it out
I have beeen waiting to comment but when Isaw Circadians as Ellen’s number three I had to pause and say yes!!! You’ll are so on fire! Joe Don Richardson awesome! Glad you enjoyed and we’d love to play a game with you! We won’t be at DTE but hopefully another convention would work
You both we so tickled with your pronunciation of the word cacao. So funny.
Nathan Sampson Hahahaha!
I'm surprised you didn't mention the 20th anniv edition of Castles of Burgundy.
Kenrick Carlson Keh yeah I have no idea why I didn’t lol
Thank you, great video.
NapoleonsTriumph thank you so much💕
Yay I watched the top ten!
Dean Muramoto once parks is back in stock I’m sure I’ll pick it up
Great video and list! For what it's worth, here's my top ten:
10. Deus
9. One Week Ultimate Werewolf
8. Tikal
7. Werewords Deluxe Edition
6. Fantasy Realms
5. Horrified
4. Scythe
3. Grand Austria Hotel
2. Whistle Stop
1. 51st State: Master Set
Ryan Moore thank you so much!!! We have fun together. Id love to try grand Austria Hotel! I hear great things about it.
Thank you guys for doing this! Love your top picks. I really think my wife would love Obsession, but sadly it seems to be out of print.
Ben Joslin thanks! Obsession is in between prints and has a new expansion coming out. The Kickstarter funded and it may hit retail but you can preorder it from them here

A Feast for Odin and Castles of Burgundy are two of my top games on my to-play list!
Highly recommended.... as you know lol
@@WeGameTogether now I've just got to find a way to play them in quarantine 🤪😅
Ryan Farrell that is an issue lol
@@WeGameTogether do you guys have experience with the Castles of Burgundy app? What are your thoughts between that and physical?
My current top 10:
1. Tikal
2. Carcassonne: Amazonas
3. Insider
4. Barenpark
5. Century: Spice Road
6. Adventure Land
7. Twice as Clever
8. The Quest for El Dorado
9. Ticket to Ride: New York
10. Carcassonne: Hunters and Gatherers
gospel-kingdom website I love El Dorado!
Are you ready for the expansion to Rurik that will be hitting Kickstarter this summer?
Mepper definitely looking forward to it!
Love Rurik!! I missed the KS and bought it off someone who did. By far the best storage system I have ever seen in a tabletop game. Spot on with the auction programming IS the game. Great list
Glad you enjoyed it! The storage system does work quite well
Teotihuacan is my number one. It's nice to see it on both your lists.
Joseph Negron great game!
Love having a couples take on games. Got my wife to play CoB as it’s non violent. What would be your second Feld pick?
Hmm second feld would probably be Carpe Diem
Great list!!! Teotihuacan is well pronounced as Ellen said :D
Well thank you sir
I liked the list but I tended to "agree" more with Randy's choices and order haha
I agree with my choices as well lol!
@@WeGameTogether it makes sense haha
Hey Randy, Caverna or AFFO??? I only have played Caverna
Ephraim Owen Maza I definitely like Caverna but I definitely prefer Feast for Odin
My top 10!:
1. Five Tribes
2. Race for the galaxy
3. Terraforming mars
4. Castles of Burgundy
5. Caverna
6. Yokohama
7. Viticulture
8. Concordia
9. Teotihuacan
10. Roll for the galaxy
Cool! Well, we’d love to game with you if we ever get the chance! I like your list! Good stuff in there. Idk why 5tribes never does it for me. I wish I liked it more.
Brent V oh yeah, I heard black angel and Troyes companies often. We’ve never played Troyes
Top 10: 1. Scythe, 2. Clank, 3. Champions of Midgard, 4. Marvel champions, 5. Villainous 6. Everdell 7. Teotocuahan 8. Wingspan 9. Chronicles of Crime 10. Tapestry
I value games a lot that I can tell a story about afterwards, so CoB is far from my top 10, but I should try feast for odin.
Great list! Story games are usually pretty far down the list but if it’s done really well with good mechanics we’re all for it!
I liked the look of Rurik dawn of Kiev, but was put off as Liz wasn’t keen in it's solo.
KSweeney36 ah, we don’t play many games solo so couldn’t help you there
Top Ten as of 2019 are from 10-1; Star Realms, Survive Escape from Atlantis, Champions of Midgard, Gloomhaven, Cartographers, Zombicide Green Horde/Black Plague, Scythe, Dinosaur Island, Star Wars Outerrim, Western Legends.
Michael Castiglia nice list!
Not sure I ever asked this, but did you two design your own logo? It's really nice. And yes, I know you've had it for a long time so I'm way behind on that compliment :D.
Marc MacNair haha! Yeah I did (Randy) I’m a bit of a hobbyist graphics designer, meaning I just enjoy it and think I’m halfway decent at it
It looks very professional, which is often not the case when people design their own. Nice work.
Thanks a bunch for this, will be sure to mention it in my video :)
Loki Hve thanks!
Loved this
Viticulture (always Essential) has a lot of "charm." Do you have any favourite expansion modules from Tuscany?
Andrew Griffin we love the Mamas and Papas😊
And I kinda only wanna play it with the expansion☺️
And, thanks;) 😁
Great lists! Love watching top 10's to see how others tastes line up with my own. My top 10 are:
10. Raiders of the North Sea
9. Orleans
8. Star Wars: Rebellion
7. Chaos in the Old World
6. Great Western Trail
5. Mansions of Madness
4. Vindication
3. Cyclades
2. Arkham Horror: The Card Game
1. Eclipse
Brock Huffman Nice list! I’ve only played about half of those. Might have to check more out
Cyclades is 🔥 🔥 🔥
Ellen! I am surprised you reviewed the parks game and didn't even mention the camera!
Chrissie Stern you know, that may have got a cut because I seem to remember Ellen mentioning it at some point
This was Great(except for some of the games that I don't care for). I will share with you my top 10 games of all time. I am working on a top 100 list as well and i have about 60 games on it. I am trying to acquire new games and also play games to get them added. Okay here is my list.
10. Munchkin
9. 7 wonders
8. King of Tokyo
7. Rurik: Dawn of Kiev
6. Clank! A Deck Building Adventure
5. Star Wars: The Interactive Video Board Game
4. Legendary Marvel: A Deck Building Card Game
3. Great Western Trail
2. Santa's Workshop
1. Castles of Burgundy
Michael Young WOOHOO! Castles of burgundy.
ok rurik and space base. Don't like felt, don't like cob. Tried it, didn't do anything for me.
Kosteri x that’s ok:) good thing there are so many games to chose from!
I love your in-joke personalities with each other! Such a cyute midwestern cyuple. 🤗
Chicago Twilight haha, well thank you!
I would like to add Rajas of the Ganges to games you might like, Randy, its dice placement. Check it out.
I’ve heard great things, would definitely like to try that out
You guys have very similar taste in games as me and my wife.
Some of my favorite are (in no particular order):
Teotihucan (this is my favorite game)
Viticulture
Grand Austria Hotel (you guys have to try it if you haven't)
Lorenzo
Architects
Clank
Wingspan
T'zolkin
Coimbra
COB
I love Trismegistus but haven't played it enough because my wife says it is too much.
Games that are out that I have to play;
Maracaibo, GWT, Carpe Diem, Santa Maria, Feast For Odin. I have GWT (going to give it to my dad for Father's day) And Feast For Odin but haven't played them.
John Wheeler haven’t played grand Austria but that looks great! Thanks for watching!
I've got my popcorn and my favorite blanket. Bring it.
Scyld Scefing Lol! Sounds cozy😊
We tend to suggest lanterns a harvest festival and century spice road/golem as good entry games but everyone’s mileage varies
As for detective games, one of the easier to get into is chronicles of crime! We love that one
I didn’t list my own Top ten board games
1-Gloomhaven
2-BSG
3-Horrified
4-Pathfinder Adventure Card Game
5-Legendary Encounters
6-Legendary Marvel
7-Crystallo
8-Masmorra
9-Quacks
10-Space Base
Nathan Bredfeldt we haven’t played most of those lol. So many games out there!!!
What is BSG? Big sexy grapes... Viticulture?
BSG= Battlestar Galactica
We Game Together that makes sense... but kinda wishing it stood for Big Sexy Grapes 😂
The way you described Parks sounds like a North American version of Tokaido.
Lol! Haven’t played that but I’ll take your word for it!
Another good one. You none of my faves in your top 10 but hey nbdoyos pcredfet. I think you'd enjoy Yokohama though.
Joachim Schad is love to try that one. Iv heard good things about it
1) Rising sun with all kickstarter components and expansions (unfortunately thats the only way Ill play the game) also this video could have been shorter.
Good pick! Yes we know that it could be shorter LOL. time got away from us and rather than chop it does to pieces we figured a one off on our top 10 would have to work
Not to say that Ellen's #1 was obvious...but I mean, the color shirt she's wearing...
Haha! Too true
I skip by ALL gaming UA-cam channels which got Terraforming Mars in their top 10.
Well that’s an interesting vetting technique lol. Only half of us have on their top 10 so there’s that lol
