Such a great and diverse list! Im going to get some of these you mentioned. Its so good to see that you guys have a list which is so personal and close to you.
nice video. was fun to watch. battlestar galactica a game store by me has used for $100.00. not sure if they are open at the moment but i'm tempted to get it more than I was before watching this. I love that show too.
It made it to my top 10 of 2019, so I'm a big fan! Very different game from Legendary though. We've got a full review elsewhere on the channel. Maybe it will move into our top 20 somewhere after some more expansions come out... - Jonathan
BSG is the game that pulled me into this hobby, and to me is still the best a game has done to match theme to mechanics. Thanks for sharing your lists!
One of my favorite Deck builders is High Command (Hordes and WarMachine combined). Lord of the Rings the deckbuilder (Cryptozoic), Clank! original, Star Realms and Legendary: Big Trouble in Little China is next. I did add some other Legendary expansions in that box, until it was full, yes fully sleeved too.
Thanks guys! Again, solid lists all round. I think my tastes usually gravitate more towards Will's side, if only because I'm really (like REALLY) bad at social deduction games so I tend to not enjoy them as much. I really like story-heavy, thematic experiences, so yeah 7th Continent, Arkham Horror TCG, Robinson Crusoe, Chronicles of Crime and Sherlock Holmes definitely fit in my wheelhouse. On top of that, I have to add Legacy games (Pandemic, SeaFall, Clank! and Betrayal) as they create these beautifully personal narratives. Tainted Grail, Near and Far, Stuffed Fables represent solid examples of my favorite publishers (Awaken Realms, Red Raven and Plaid Hat) whereas FFG's Descent and Mansions of Madness (both 2nd editions) are still the Kings of dungeon crawls for me. Finally, the less strategic and more role-play-like Folklore: the Affliction and HEXploreIt deserve an honorable mention. One thing is for sure...we have enough great games to keep expanding those Top Games lists!
I'm terrible at Avalon because I'm bad at lying, so I love it all the more for this. Not keen on traitor mechanics in other games though, with the exception of Betrayal at the House on the Hill where the traitor isn't a secret a player has to keep to themselves.
Bought 7th continent because of all the reviews.. I HATED the game.. it felt like I was a kid at the library and stuck at the card Catalog. It just wasn’t for me.
Robinson Crusoe suffers from the same issues many cooperative games do: no interesting decisions to take. It's thematic yes. But actually you try to get some cubes and you roll some dice for it. Repeat. As each character has some advantage in its domain, it's obvious that the soldier will hunt, that the worker tries to get tools and the explorer explores the island. It felt way too scripted. The game captures the story well but mechanically the game is boring to me as it drags too long. Just my 2 cents.
I really don't understand the draw of cosmic encounters. I might be missing somethign but by far one of my least favorite games, but the poeple who love it seem to REALLY love it.
I have mixed feelings on Cosmic Encounter. I like the way people are encouraged to double cross each other, but the cards feel very "take that" to me and the alien variations chosen at the beginning don't really seem to balance very well with each other. It's definitely unique though. And it really gets people pushed into a corner.
However you identify?? 👌 since we're playing this game , I identify as a black gay unicorn thats fluid on Fridays as a walrus. 😃 i appreciate you taking time out of your intro to include me .
I know you mentioned it, but I LOVE Aeon’s End. Definitely my fav deck builder!

Thanks for the list I enjoyed this! Mage Knight and Arkham Horror LCG are my two faves!
Arkham Horror: The Card Game is such a gem. That and Aeon's End are my favourite games.
7th Continent Average rating … 7
Will - #9

Have you guys played Marvel Champions? If yes, how does it compare to Legendary? Where do you rank it?

geez, there are about half a million games on the market and you guys have what 4 same games in your top 10? :/
Wow, dc deck builder... never seen anyone who's ever played any other deck builder put it on a top list. It's just such a generic game.
