In the battle of Dien Bien Phu, Viet Minh tried to attack the A1 Hill (French called it Eliane 2). Viet Minh couldn't occupy the A1 Hill because of the heavy fire power of french and the trench and bunkers on A1 Hill provide French soilders a good position to defense the hill from Viet Minh's attack. Viet Minh changed the strategy and secretly digged a tunnel to place a ton of explosive under the A1 Hill. A ton of explosive explode bring down the bunker and trench of French above and Viet Minh successfully take over the A1 Hill
