Playing the role of the gunslinger is my favorite movie.

As I said in the video, he was The Terminator before The Terminator was even a thing, and be did it so damn well.

I suppose Yul Brynner was cast simply because he had done MAGNIFYCENT 7
BUT there may have been unintentional bonuses, he has one of those...rugged neutral faces, you can't read any expression on his face he doesnt look angry, humorous or sad, his face is mask like, how I imagine a humanoid robot to look, it was the same thing again with Arnie in TERMINATOR & Peter Weller in ROBOCOP, perfect casting also in all 3 cases the dialogue was kept to a minimum, giving them a Clint Eastwood menace & mystery

WEST WORLD a classic film buried by time itself, but that so many other films owe a debt to (including ROBOCOP I always think) as West World is in fact a black comedy parody on American gun violence, & too much capitalism, that often goes over the heads of most viewers.
one critisism was that Roman & Mediaval World were not needed, a fair critisism BUT they never got in the way of the story.
I would love to see a cinema remake of this film, but with the whole thing centered on West World only (as it's America's wild West history, & not Europe's.
the tv series version...okay, but too nasty, & arty lacking in the original film's sense of humour.
for me WEST WORLD will always be superior to JURASSIC PARK because it doesnt pull it's punches & its not watered down to pull in a family audience

I personally felt Westworld to be one of the most awesome movies of my youth
The modern TV series was a complete waste of time and money absolutely Awful ...

I can understand that. I only got through a couple episodes of the series myself, and it just didn't click with me. I've lost count of the amount of times I've watched the film, though. Cheers for watching 😁
