These are the kind of artists I think about when people say "So-and-so (pop/rock drummer) is the best in the world!!!!" That's not to say there aren't great musicians making top 10 hits back to back (a skill in and of itself, regardless of technical ability), but there are just so so many unbelievably talented people in the world making music that most people don't know about simply because it's not drip-fed to them via their local radio station. I don't think I would have ever found most of my favorite artists without the internet, and man... that's kind of wild.
