Great video. Brought back memories of that day. Saw you along the route and at the end in the food tent. 😄hope the feet are back to normal after 5km and Chesil beach! 🥵

Hi dude. Cheers for the comment. Yeh I think I remember you, I was extremely tired at that point.
Unfortunately my feet are totally wrecked from the Jurassic coast and trying UTMB Snowdonia the week before and my shoes falling on me coming down the mountain. I have very large parts of baby skin on both feet I'm still trying to harden up before I take on new events. I also did that event on brand new shoes because the hoka's the week before tore. Chesel beach was not fun at all.

@outinthesun I remember you talking about your feet being ruined after Wales. Hell of an achievement. 100% agree chesil beach sucked big time!! Keep up the cool videos. 😎

Cheers mate. Hopefully I can get a few more 50ks later in the year. See how my year goes.

Epic, considering how trashed your trainers and feet were after UTS. Well done.

Definitely wasn't a wise idea booking these events back to back. Feet were a tad sore on the start line and I was in a brand new pair of 2 day old Solomon speed cross 6.

No way dude, you're the king 😎! How did it go?
I ran that race I talked about, it went well even tho I didn't practice, I ain't doing that again, gonna run next year as well, but this time I'm gonna train for it!

It was really hard I had a go at another big event the week before on a mountain course. You would probably like that. My feet were and are still sore and skin has been peeling off.
I remember you said that's good and well done. What time did you get on what distance?
I've enjoyed the coast line on those adventures.

I watched for the scenery but for me the music drowned out you voice. I still gave a like 🙂

Thanks Kevin for your input. Yes I noticed that but when editing depends on what platform I'm playing it off the sound is different. Definitely something I have taken note off. Many thanks for giving me the thumbs up and input.

Not trying to overly sell it to you but the week before I did an event over the mountains in Snowdonia.

@@harnekmudher6287 Hi dude. Took me 21 hours to do. My feet were absolutely trashed from attempting UTS 100k the week before. So by the 60k mark the branch foot started to set in and slowed me up a bit.

@@outinthesun Hi pal, thanks for the quick response. I just attempted the maverick jurassic ultra on saturday just gone. Went for the 101km and they stopped me at 56km because I reached the checkpoint slightly late. Do you have any advice , it was my first ultra, only prepared for 3 months. Tempted to do the one you did in may 2025. What are the cut offs like/ how long do you have to complete?

@@harnekmudher6287 well done dude. That's impressive. I was on carpark duty getting you lot in safely. I was in the orange omo jacket on the corner turning into the campsite.
It's really hard to put all into text. To run that after 3 months is decent don't feel down it's a big ask and extremely hard. It's about building you training up to the point you are doing volume. What I mean with that is when doing these 100k. It's mimicking being out for long periods of time. Example building up to be running over 100k a week with it tapering few weeks before the event if you can. But by doing your long runs and then getting onto a bike to keep the hours you are active to help the body overcome fatigue. As you probably know having good kit that you will use and is light weight. Practicing fueling and running is key and to not spend too long in checkpoints, that adds loads of time over the event. If you are doing elevation like the Jurassic coast you need to incorporate elevation into your runs. I had a go at utmb Snowdonia the week before and the shoes fell apart. So good kit is key. Also point is foot care. These wet events and sweating it's common to get foot problems. So reading up on barrier cream to stop water absorbed into the skin. If you're feet get sore you can't run. If you look you can see me limping quite a bit. It's very very painful when it comes on. Hope this helps. All the comments help. Like and subscribe and giving me ideas helps to help everyone. Many thanks for reaching out. Hope it helps

@@outinthesun appreciate that pal, I am quite gutted to be honest. Been thinking about it non stop. If I were to do the one in may, do you think that would be too soon? Also how long do you have to do it in may? Because I only had 18 hours for this event
