  • A conversion of the main video track to the game Star Trek Klingon. There are no Alt or Fail vids shown. A proper Longplay video showing full gameplay will come later. There are plenty of familiar Star Trek veterans in this game playing characters you may not have seen before.
    It looks abit rough as the source video is in Duck:Trumotion, 320x200 15fps format.
    Directed by Jonathan Frakes best known as "Commander T Riker".
    Starring Robert O'Reilly as Gowron "Leader of the Klingon High Council".

      I think they would have trouble justifying the money for the game. A star Trek game wouldn't have enough buyers. You would need at least a million units sold, probably more. DS9 was not that popular with the general TV audieence and it was a syndicated show that also would limit viewership and the all-important ratings.

    • @girlgarde
      @girlgarde 9 років тому +6

      +crashoverride1000 Yeah, it's too bad that the Klingon militants drove him to attack the Cardassians, break the Alliance with the Federation, banish Worf AND go to war with the Federation /for a time/. It's also a shame that he later went nuts and put the Empire at risk to try and destroy Martok which forced Worf to have to kill him.......

    • @dragblacker557
      @dragblacker557 9 років тому +5

      +ryan macdonald I never liked what he did to Worf in DS9. I don't mind the two of them becoming rivals and eventually fighting to the death, but to rehash the Sins of the Father plot from TNG (where Worf is dishonored), and especially Worf erasing his brother's memory, was a bad route to go. Gowron in this game seems closer to TNG Gowron than DS9 Gowron.

    • @girlgarde
      @girlgarde 9 років тому +3

      Dragblacker I never liked what he did to Worf in ds9 either. It WAS a rehash of the Sins of the Father plot from TNG and made Gowron look ungrateful and petty.
      Also, Gowron giving into the demands of the militants made him look like a spineless coward who only cared about staying in power.

    • @crashoverride1000
      @crashoverride1000 9 років тому +3

      Yes he had a sleazy side but he was all Klingon. Bad writing to take a good character and waste it with clumsy plot twists.

    • @girlgarde
      @girlgarde 9 років тому +4

      crashoverride1000 Agreed. The DS9 writers screwed up Gowron's character. Even IF the Founder disguised as Martok was urging Gowron to fight the Federation, it isn't like the militants hadn't always been pressuring Gowron to attack the Federation so he could've said "No, we need allies to fight the Dominion, we just need to show them the severity of the Dominion threat is all..." or something along those lines.
      Also, they could've had the Klingons fight the Cardassians without breaking the alliance between the Klingons and the Federation. In STO, the Klingons and the Gorn were at war without the UFP/Klingon alliance breaking for a few years and since there was only 18 months between the Klingon invasion of Cardassia and the Cardassians joining the Dominion, the Alliance could've held with some major tension.
      About Gowron being sleazy, it was part of his charm as a character. He lived life to the fullest like a true Klingon. If he had to be killed off, he should've died gloriously in battle while doing something to hurt the Dominion in a BIG way. Then Martok succeeds him and continues the fight against the Dominion.

      @@freezetasticvoyage19They would likely side with Atreides. The other two would likely fall before the blades of brave Klingon Warriors! Imagine this the Klingon empire and even possibly the federation and if this was done in the era of Star Trek online the Romulan Republic fighting alongside brave House Atreides, the most honorable House of The Landsraad, versus the evil house Harkonnen and the duplicitous house Corrino! Not much later the Corrino empire falls not long after the defeat of house Harkonnen. Sometime after that the green and black flag of house Atreides is joined by three other new banners a beautiful blue banner with the symbol of the United federation of planets a beautiful red flag with the Klingon trefoil and right next to it a very beautiful green flag with the symbol of the Romulan Republic upon it which I believe is a phoenix clutching two small orbs in it's talons representing the Lost planets of Romulus and Remus and with a large orb cradled in its wings representing Mol'Rihan(or New Romulus)! The flags of the houses of Harkonnen and Corrino are taken down and publicly burned.

      "Klingons sure like their songs, don't they?"
      I actually came here because of the DS9 Season 5 "Soldiers of the Empire" episode that I just recently rewatched. One of the trivia notes on the Amazon stream mentioned that the song they are singing after the Jem'Hadar battle at the end of the episode actually originated from this game, so the producers definitely consider this game as official Star Trek canon ;)

    Terrang'nan must NOT be your first language...
    "to be or not to be" was an advent specifically for that film, not used in REAL Klingon culture. The actual translation of "taH pagh, taH'be" is "To Endure, or don't Endure". A complete detraction from what you may think it meant. Klingons are not territorial in the sense of we guard, we CONQUER for territory and keep what we take. Learn more about the culture and you may be worthy of my FaceBook friending...
