Waste Management ZR Garbage Truck Doing Recycle

I spotted this truck doing recycle down in Irvine. I haven’t filmed the newer Pete 520 ZRs that WM has bought in the last few months. So I figured to get a decent video! Here we got 108046 doing recycle. Truck ran good with an awesome driver behind the wheel!

what is the deal with the new WM branded ZRs in both 520 and Autocar ACX cabs. I've seen similar trucks pop up in Oregon as well. Is there some weird deal between WM and McNeilus or something?

From what I’ve heard, WM completely cut their ties with McNeilus so they will be buying primarily Heil and Amrep from here on out. I’m not sure why so many ZRs are popping up though, they had to have been ordered a while back.

@@westernamericantrashtrucks it might but I think this was for the whole country. I was told they ordered over 1,000 trucks from Heil after they cut off McNeilus
