      Reminds me of when he wanted to learn Joe Rogan's kicking technique like he wasn't the world champion 🌏🏆 lol. One of the qualities that made him a great champ was he was open to learning new things.

      Yeah it really seems like he is. He would be a really good athlete. I'd like to see him fight in something like MMA. There's this UFC promotion or whatever it's called. He would've been a good matchup for the retired guy Micheal Bisping I think.

    Respect to George, he knows he can do handstand but he's listening to the guy about true gymnastics form is straightup. George is like I know I'm cheating by arching over. That's how u learn. Respect to the trainer he's like now u teach me to fight. Love it. Fun session

    Anyone saying this sort of drill is "useless" for GSP to train needs to maintain top position on someone athletic and larger than them. Being able to roll your body and have dynamic balance really helps. Having strength in all areas of the body helps, too.

    damn george is unflexible in the shoulders

    • @DarkSideDenmark
      @DarkSideDenmark 10 років тому +1

      Yeah shoulders are a big problem is most fighting sports. Forrest Griffin for example, his shoulders are reeeaaally bad.
      It's wear and tear from locks, grinding and throwing punches. Scar tissue and cartilage builds up in the joints. Some of it can be removed surgically, but it can never be a 100% again.
      I'm not even on a mediocre level of martial arts, and I've got a slight shoulder problem as well, just from bjj and punching.

    I love how at 5 minutes he tries to show him a handstand and can't even hold one for more than a second. GSP was better than him, and FYI a proper handstand lies in having no shoulder angle, not where you look.

    It's nice to see no egos here. Nice looking (yet tough) fighter not afraid to try out something new in public. A perfect example that true fighters have nothing to prove ;-)
    A flexibility issue, but that goes with the sport with too much bench pressing, boxing, and fighting stances. Cute guys ;-)

    how is that useless? it builds upper body strength and requires a crazy amount of stability, both of which are very important in MMA when you're grappling or just striking. just because there isnt a stability ball in the octagon doesn't mean you can't get better at fighting using one.

    Rich Franklin=BA Mathmatics, Chuck Lidell=certified accountant...and so on. He has it confused with boxing where you just turn pro and skip College. At any given time the percentage of UFC fighters with College degrees is between 55-70%. Much higher a percentage than the general population.
