I am very late for this, but here we go. Forest Green. Had a day of appointments out of the house yesterday when this dropped, so missed it. Awesome video as always I got the Sound Paint Copper Phone early last week, like you I thought some of the sounds were awesomely spooky, perfect for my music. It's honestly impressive when any company releases anything for Kontakt Player, since they have to pay Native Instruments a minimum of $1,000.
I know! I looked into it myself when I was going to make Kontakt Libraries. It's pretty steep if you are putting out a free product which means no profit....
@@DixonBeats Even releasing for full Kontakt is pretty steep, I think, especially for lower-cost libraries. For 19-49 $/€ libraries (the lowest MSRP NI displays on their licensing page), it's a $1,000 encoding fee (which includes the original encoding plus only one bug fix within 30 days of release) plus 5-9% of the library's MSRP for each serial number, with a minimum of 100 serial numbers. So if you sell a library for $20, you have to sell 59 units just to break even. In the overcrowded libraries/plugins market, that can be quite daunting, especially for someone who is just starting to release their own stuff (or is thinking about it). It will be interesting to see if Decent sampler eventually takes any appreciable chunk of the market away from NI for this reason.
It used to piss me off every time you showed a great plugin and it was a full Kontakt only one. So I finally bought Kontakt full - only the installation has been a disaster. Now I get to test how good their customer support is. But I do appreciate your videos about them.

@@DixonBeats Thank you for replying. I already had NA and Player 7. I finally got NA2 and Full Kontakt 7 up and running, but Full Kontakt 7 is trapped inside Kontakt player as a sound bank. Hopefully this can be fixed by uninstalling player, but I don't know if that's the proper solution, nor do I know the proper steps. I've reached out to NI support, but have not heard back. Also, NA2 worked for a day and has now reverted back to NA. Probably need to delete the old one as well, but I'm apprehensive about blindly trying it. Kind regards, Gordon

Interesting... (conspiracy theory maybe?)... I noticed on the NI site, they are no longer listing their S49 or S61 MIDI keyboards. I was actually thinking they were going to put out an MKIII this year. Maybe they are?

Hmmm... Rainsong only available for Kontakt version 7.1.8 or later, not for 6.7 .... hmmmmmm
It’s available on the free Kontakt player so just update for free?
@@DixonBeats I know, but Kontakt 7.xx don`t work on my Win7 system. 6.7 works.
