After Appu's demise a Tamil director revealed that he used to donate the money which he earns from singing to an old age home in Tamil Nadu and it seems he as instructed not to reveal this to public.
A person who is of god like nature only can be this generous.

In north India, we usually watch movies of south in Hindi dubbed. My whole family loved Dr Rajkumar or Puneeth sir movies. They didn’t knew much about him but I am in awe of this actor by his acting, simplicity, healthy role model for boys and men like us. When he passed away, I kept on watching his movies and cried so many times. I couldn’t believe that such a good actor is no more. You’ll be forever missed Puneeth sir. ❤ 😢
I am generally not a fan of any actors and never really cry, but whenever it's APPU, I feel a huge void and get emotional! Logically, I don't have answers for this.Have seen strong men cry for APPU,for whom crying or getting emotionally low was never true even in their dreams.

Puneeth Rajkumar (17 March 1975 - 29 October 2021), colloquially known as Appu was an Indian actor, philanthropist, playback singer, television presenter and producer, who worked in Kannada cinema. He was the youngest son of actor and matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar. He was one of the most popular actors in Kannada cinema. He appeared as a lead in 32 films. As a child, he appeared in many films. His performances as a child actor in Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahaladha (1983), Yarivanu (1984) and Bettada Hoovu (1985) were praised.[2] He won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role of Ramu in Bettada Hoovu.[3] He also won Karnataka State Award Best Child artist for Chalisuva Modagalu and Eradu Nakshatragalu. Puneeth's first lead role was in 2002's Appu. In a career spanning three decades, he has won one National Film Award, four Karnataka State Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards South and five SIIMA awards. He was conferred with the Doctorate by Mysuru University. The Karnataka Government conferred the state's highest civilian award, Karnataka Ratna, to Puneeth Rajkumar on 1 November 2022, posthumously.[4]
Appu sir always proudly said that "Abhimanigale namma mane devru avrindane namm mane usiru" (Fans are our family God and we breathe due for them). Appu sir was first actor and star kid who was told that made song for tribute to his fans. And he also said that he was son of every home of Karnataka. As a son of Karnataka he always took strong actions for Kannada and Karnataka. The main reason why we treated him as God because he always treated us as a God.
Have to mention most important thing you guys have missed. All his help and philanthropic activities came out only after his demise. He kept all these as a secret. Appu Sir always remains in our heart. Thank you for the video.
