It was a terrific effort my the Warrington Historical Society to get this Historical Marker approved. The Dedication was terrific and so great for the turn out of former Holbert Racing and Holbert's Garages employees and customers.
This is amazing, glad that Al and Bob Holbert are fondly remembered. Even better was the Jungle Jim Liberman connection - one of my idols when I was a kid!!
Visiting family in Chalfont we had to turn at the corner where Al had his original garage. It was still farm country and Al would often drive a Porsche down their road as a test drive I suppose. Neat cars for a kid to see. Many years later I would see Al Jr. race in SCCA in his 914. Nice that Warrington and Pennsylvania established that historical marker.
