My first car 69 chevelle it needed front-end work and I couldn't afford to rebuilt the front-end so I bought a 72 nova instead of doing the front-end work.
I sold my '68 Camaro because it didn't have seatbelts and my girlfriend had a two year old daughter that needed to be secured in a carseat. By far one of the stupidest things I've ever done! The other one was a '57 Chevy stepside pickup truck. Small back window, root beer brown, beautiful truck! I bought a remanufactured 350 V8 built to 69 specs that I wanted to put in the truck. Unfortunately, attempting to install it in my parents tiny carport didn't go over well so I ended up getting rid of the truck and added another fail to my long list of lost opportunities/regrets. In an ironic twist, I'm currently in the process of reviving a '69 Firebird that's been sitting in the same tiny carport referenced above for over fourteen years.
In High School days friend down the street had a dark blue '69 Firebird 400 that he loaned to me from time to time. 'Twas a mighty fine automobile, good for Van Nuys Boulevard, Mulholland Drive, 'passion pits' (drive in theaters), etc... .

There were only two cars that were practical for me to pursue for ownership. A 1967 Lotus Cortina and a 1951 M37 military Dodge power wagon. I finally got them. I fully restored the M37 after spending 4 years and a lot of money. Then, i finally was able to find a 1967 Lotus Cortina cheap enough for me to buy, but I had to sell them both because of a divorce.

Been looking for another one to build but i think I'm about out of luck. Don't want to go fiberglass if i can't find an original i may go steel reproduction.

I was a young Airman in the Air Force and I was seriously hurting for money and my 56 was needing a lot of work that I couldn't afford to do so I had to sell it. That was back in 1980. She said she wracked the Firebird. I wanted to know where's the car? She said someone wanted the engine. It had the tripower six pack.
