    Honestly, recipes like this with nice, basic protein + veggie dishes can help a lot of people sustain good dietary habits. I like keto baked goods and stuff as much as the next guy, but would argue that "preparing vegetables that don't taste terrible" is even more worthwhile to have under one's belt.

    Cook the chicken first, then the Broccoli; broccoli only needs about 3 minutes. Also just do the whole thing in a wok; pay attention to the order items are cooked. Use shredded cabbage (for "crack slaw"), or a bit of peanut oil with baby bok choy. Then discover one can swap out the Chinese spices for TexMex and have a burrito bowl, or maybe Italian with cream and chicken with spinach. Once you get the idea, a world of one-dish keto meals await you.

You basically have to play around with quantity. They have two albondigas recipes -- one with and one without an instant pot. If not using an instant pot I recommend using the one without so you know when to add the meatballs. Watching the other is worth it though to see inhredients. I think a good number of folks are less enthusiastic when it comes to eating veg b/c so many cook them to death! Cooked veg, like greens should be bright and firm, not grey and mushy. I wonder if a vid just on cooking a variety of veg (cut size, method and time) would be a good subject. With your camera and audio skills, you could actually get across the color and texture of a properly cooked veg! :)

    And Yay, I'm listed as an Ant Scout!
    I love you but I think the broccoli was closer to two minutes past it's proper time 😂, of course, I prefer my my broccoli bright green and crunchy. YMMV.

    Somehow been wanting to make this since I watched this 4 days ago haha... 2 stores out of chicken breast... everyone must have seen the same video... nothing else could cause out of stock, right? :p would adding salt when raw affect the texture at all? Finally got both today to make it.

    • @BlackTieKitchen
      @BlackTieKitchen  2 роки тому +1

      Adding salt shouldn't affect the texture as youre not letting it rest with the salt!

    Wouldn't it be awesome to finish it off with a torch? A sliight bit oil on it and char it slighty, I can't imagine that turning out any worse. I am looking for a torch, if you know one that won't ruin me, please let me know :)

    • @BlackTieKitchen

      Home depot/Lowes has torches that will work - they all use the same gas as the fancy culinary torches. Even if you want to use a cleaner gas, you can still use the torch head!

      I remember the first time I had it and it was actually good because everything wasnt rubbery or mush. It opened my eyes and made me question why 'fight camp' food was always so bad. The amount of calories from a little sauce is usually negligible too - and makes everything better!

    Ah, my friend, that is a marvelous canvas. Switch out chicken for thin beef or some shrimp, switch up the sauce a bit… a veritable cornucopia of options, a plethora even (try no to read that in a Snaggletooth-esque voice 😉). It’s nice to see a new video, for sure.
