- Welcome to a very in depth tour of the Honda Civic fn2 type r's cockpit. For those who haven't yet bought a fn2 but are looking into one, or maybe the fn2 is new to you and some controls are yet to be figured out.
This video aims to give a better perspective of what the controls are like in the fn2 and also what they do.

Hi thank you for a great walk through. The display with the clock and heater settings doesn't come on in my car. It stays blank. So i cant figure out the heater modes/settings without getting frustrated! Any idea on how i can get it on or to work please? Could it be not displaying because it has a bluetooth carkit fitted? I would really appreciate your help. Thanks.

Just purchased a 07 plate type r gt with the satnav model, love it but can't stand the satnav it's a pain. And seems a serious hassle to change for a double din, without losing all the functions.
Don't know if you still make you tube videos but I've been going through them.
And your videos have been Amazing brother has helped me out with so much information. And things id never of known.

I actually went from a 2002 Toyota yaris to my type r. Toyota had the same high up digital speedo in their yaris from 1998/99 (although it was more where the date and time are in type r) so it was really natural transition for me. The fellas sw20 is weird to me with dials down by steering wheel 🤣

Really excited. Owned a Phase 2 Renaultsport Clio before it...it was a total money pit. Hoping for a quieter life with this one.
As for you mate...I see when going through your dash you have no AC button on your heaters. Do you have no AC?
what about 3.5mm aux jack and usb in the hand rest or where ever it is? what year models started comming with it?

How do you set the date
Mate I just bought a type s. And your video is really helpful. One thing I realize is my temperature and click cluster after a while the number fades out. And some time off you give a slap on top then it comes back. Any solution my friend
The only real solution is to remove the PCB and resolder it. Not worth it. A smack works, and I think it's characterful. Leave it.
Sometimes when I turn my car on the center display with the information still stays dark while the rest of the displays ( speedometer etc) come on if I double press the bright Ness button or press it couple times it comes on. Not sure why that happens
Hi mate I’ve just subscribed. I bought an fn2 on Saturday 6th. It’s the GT version so I was hoping for a bit of help regarding fitting a double din stereo. I believe they’re a pain cos of the sat nav. Do you know anything about the auxiliary input. I’ve got a DVD player in the glove box which isn’t working currently. But I’ve also got a connects 2 box with rca female plugs on the end. Not sure what they’re for. ?? Would you know what these may be for please bud. ?? Cheers.
Fn2_k20_wag I have one too, in the middle on the 12v socket I have a Bluetooth adapter I bought from Argos (around 12/15 pounds) it tunes to a channel on the radio and is very very easy to setup and convenient
planning on buying this in central EU, does it have aux jack for plugging your phone into the audio system? Also most offers online state "digital AC" but its not GT model, its FN2 2008 r type, so it should not have AC right? im a bit confused
hi mate yeah the ac is only on the gt model.... and I had to get my aux fitted but some models do have them as an optional extra buddy

Got 2 question: 1. is there any usb port hiding somewhere? 2. Is it possible to connect an aux jack 3.5" cable by myself or is it need to tear down the whole inside?

You should start making videos on whatever car you have now! I'm looking to replace my ep2 with an fn2 as a clean ep3 is getting harder and harder to find

How to change the time?
does the glovebox have a jack connector?
Mine was aftermarket.
i always wonder what the rear passenger lights meant. Another i noticed was that for those with air con, if you turn the air con on and then fiddle with the blower settings the air con on indication will disappear from the display though remain on. Simply press the air con button again to turn the air con off. This will also make the air con message re-appear back on the display.

Time has just changed and since i got the car 2 weeks ago i cant find how to change it to what it is supposed to be... I don't own the type r version, but a 1.8i-vtec with air con and cruise control

NaughtySuperior hold the mode button till the clock flashes and use the volume and channel rockers to change the digits

Great no-BS video - Nice one - Just one very minor mistake on your tour - you said the cruise buttons are below where your current buttons are - The GT model moves the buttons on the right of steering wheel that you currently have down to where you indicated, and places the cruise on/off, set/reset and cancel buttons to where the ones you currently have are.
I thought this car had auto head lights and auto wippers
