Wow! I've been so used to seeing Edward James Olmos as the cold steel eyed Lt. Castillo on Miami Vice, that his role here seems like a huge departure from that character. I definitely want to see this movie.
Well, Edward James Olmos is a professional actor, ready to take on a variety of roles. I'm reminded here of Ben Kingsley who, in the movie Sexy Beast, plays what some critics called the anti-Gandhi, a vicious, manipulative gangster and the complete opposite to a highly spiritual individual.

Dude in the Jesus Jean jacket killed his baby’s mom, took off with the kid, then was killed in a shootout with the cops. The nerdy girl was killed in a suicide by cop tragedy. Pretty sad
