@@rjsrailroad6166 Thats an M7A lirr doesn't have that vent thing on the top of the trains that's a metro north thing to protect the vents from branches.
Nice! Actually, to make the train go very fast, you have to use a Railking Z-1000 Transformer. When you use that, do these codes: (Bell) (Whistle) (Whistle). This activates the train to regain more speed to the point were that if the throttle is all the way high, it will derail. I know this because I have an Railking M.T.H R142A with protosound 3.0.
Arif Akyuz Nope! But once you unable speed control, meaning you can make it go faster then it’s supposed too, then it will derail depending on what tracks you have.
I made the mistake of not buying this or the equivalent Metro-North M7 set upon the release of them as I considered them "toys" for a number of factors and how I regretted that decision. I finally wound up buying the Metro-North M7 set in 2015 with two add-on sets and I haven't regretted that at all. I still haven't found the LIRR M7 as yet at a reasonable price. The video link below is what changed my mind. ua-cam.com/video/u0TMF1Y5e9Q/v-deo.html

Nice work. Very effective layout.
Anything positive to say about it?
I LOVE IT

Any chance u can do a side by side size comparison with the 16 inch MTA model bus with O scale Metro North or Subway
Awesum layout !
That’s a nice little set. I heard there is a Metro North version, as well.

That looks more like an M7A because of those things sticking out at the top.

......did your R142A derail?

Okay good, I was afraid for a bit
I am using a z4000 which has more power
It’s not about the transformer, the train itself only has one motor
raphael sicinski
One motor? Wow.. I actually didn’t know that.

Appears even more real and authentic then it's real prototype.
Would be better if it had the traction motor and all.
Wait, embouchures are missing between train cars.
Lionel need so make a Legacy M7. I would buy that in a heartbeat!
Llrr
