Bobcat S70 loading Materials onto my Big Text 25 Du dump trailer

  • I knew the s70 wouldn't be able to load my dumptrailer from the side so we tried to drive in and load. It was successful but also sketchy as the front tires barely grip the ramp. I really didn't want to go out and spend more money on another trailer so I'm glad this method worked out.

You should cut a fold down side door. Or removable side door to side load with the baby cat

I would have taken the fence down and put it back up when I was done. I've done allot of little jobs like this they aren't fun.

Yeah. Some customers don't want you to touch anything but what you're working on also...

When you load the s70 in the trailer with an empty bucket, do you go backwards or front?

How wide was that fence opening? I have like a brand new nice wooden fence that I don't want to take down. The opening is about 44" wide. Should I have much of an issue getting an s70 through there?

Yes a s70 should have no problem getting through. The s70 is 36 inches wide. Lots of room. We were using the larger bucket for this experiment thats why we had to raise it up over the fence

You can go through that. The S70 is only 36 in wide.

    You need a smaller trailer

To much time wasted and risk taken.
    1. Remove the fence, easily could of damaged it and cost you money.
    2. Remove your ramps and load from the back and keep pushing to the center.
    3. The s70 should reach for side loading, back up your trailer and build a small ramp.
You looked really nervous and stiff, chill out.

You're hilarious!! Building a ramp and load from the side he says. You clearly have never driven a s70 before. The second I dump my load from the side with a ramp I would flip backwards. But clearly you have never experienced or know its limitations. You say load the dirt from the back and push it without the ramps ... OMG!!! I HAVE NEVER TRIED TO DO THAT! guess what it doesn't work the way you think it does. Dirt doesn't just push back because you push it with the bucket. From the tip of my bucket to my window of my machine I probably have 2-3 feet I can only push it as far as that and then it piles up and starts falling out the back. How can you give advice when you clearly have no experience and it shows. I did this to show people it can be done but its sketchy. Only people that can relate to this video is someone who has the same machine and same size dump trailer.
And to your comment about pulling out the post lol seriously! What's cheaper? Me hitting the post or hitting old siding that's discontinued? The post! Duh and it keeps me at a safe distance from the siding.
Just a fyi that was my operators house and we wanted to know if we needed to buy a smaller dump trailer or make do with what we have. Conclusion is that it can be done but with limitations and the angle of the ramps needs to be on flat ground in order to pull this off.
I wouldn't be so rude if you didn't give your opinion so arrogant. And as for the Chill out you should know what your talking about before you talk like you know everything.

What’s with the negative attitude? I will say this, when your hauling dirt in and out of a back yard, it’s only a matter of time before you nail the wall or fence when you have inches to spare, maybe not on this job but sooner or later it will happen. Remove the panel and stay away from the house. As you know, it’s easy to jerk these machines with slight movement.
As for loading, the way you did it is extremely dangerous and damages your truck loading the machine on the trailer to dump your load.
Learn to push the material with material on to your trailer and learn to side load.
With experience you would know not to use your ramps to side load but instead drop a few buckets on the ground and load from there.
If you are going to make videos, show people how to load and “Bobcat” safely and efficient.
Btw- I never said to remove the post on the side of the cladding but instead to remove the panels but you already know to stay away from the building as much as possible.
I’ve loaded transfers with any machine you can imagine building ramps safely and efficient.
In this business take any advice you can and work with it cause amature time doesn’t take you far.

@@vancouverrealestate2766 learn to push materials with materials?? Dirt doesn't work that way. I will etransfer you $200 if you can show me that you're able to do that with a s70 and get your dirt all the way to the back without it spilling out the back.
Learn to load off the side of the trailer? Wow you really think I haven't thought of that? 2 reasons why it doesn't work is because it doesn't reach the wall of a big tex 25du dump trailer but hey you know everything right? Even if it did reach do you know how dangerous it is to load with a s70 with your arms all the way up in the air??? Another thing you dont know is that even if the machine could reach over where does all the material fall? A) in the middle B) opposite side or C) on the side your loading from?
C is the answer. And I know what you will say next." Learn to flick the dirt to the middle" again you can't do that with a s70 with the arms all the way up you will flip backwards! Even loading dirt from the side of a small dump trailer is sketchy with these machines and it's hard to pile the dirt in the middle.
Again just prove to me you can push dirt with dirt and I'll etransfer you $200.
And if you can't prove it I'll make a video just for you pal so you can watch and learn something on UA-cam

I don’t have any videos and not going to make one anytime soon, keep your $200 I don’t need it and I am not here for that.
All I was trying to tell you is there is a safe and professional way to do things, it takes time but it can be achieved, the key is safety and efficient.
I am sure with a quick UA-cam search, you will find many skid steer videos on capabilities, techniques and right way to do things.
Btw- go easy on your rubber.
