    Love this piece of music. Just played your chord diagram on my concert. I will study your finger picking and try that as well. Thanks for the chord diagram.

      @@UkeStuff Thank you for your reply. On the tutorial there was a second plucking pattern suggested for the 'slower part' but I cant pinpoint a change in the music to use it

    Thanks so much, I learned strumming the Canon and had a different picking pattern but yours sounds so much nicer. I am awaiting my hair to start growing 😂Cheers

      @@UkeStuff I had never heard of Canadian Brass but after your comment looked them up, absolutely brilliant, thanks. As for my ukulele ability my wife says I have am from the Les Dawson school of music (if you have heard him playing the piano). 😂

    I really enjoyed this tutorial and love the old tune. I consider Mike Lynch my teacher (online, of course) so it was nice hearing his name mentioned. I still go to his videos a lot. Rich

      I didn't know Mike, although I did have one e-mail conversation with him before he passed away...I wrote to suggest an edit in one of his chord melody books, and he politely thanked me but let me know that his book was what it was.
      I get worried about Mike's videos losing their place in the world of UA-cam search--the algorithm doesn't offer you everything that is out there. But he left a treasure of teaching that can be used by viewers for the rest of time...as some things...like the ukulele...are never going away.
      I should see if I can find the video where he talks about this picking method..
      He is sorely missed, not only by his family, but by the ukulele world in general.

    This is great, thanks .... I could play it and my wife recognised the tune! I played it on my tenor uke, and then, not having mastered the F Chord on my DGBE Baritone, I played it on that but using the GCEA chord shapes... (presumably this is something like the key of G on Baritone) .... but guess what!? It sounded real good.... to me at least! Thanks

    • @UkeStuff
      @UkeStuff  4 роки тому

      If you play it away from the recording, it should sound good with the GCEA or DGBE shapes. If you’re playing with the recording...it should have sounded a bit funky!
